The Brew: Passover Begins With ‘Gaza Camps’ Popping Up on American College Campuses

Plus, as Trump's "hush money" trial starts, a shocking revelation of just how hard the Biden White House worked to concoct the "classified documents" case

“Gaza Camps” Spring Up Across Country

With sunset last night, we’ve entered the first Passover week since Hamas terrorists massacred 1,200 Israeli’s last October 7, and anti-Jewish hostilities began exploding on American university campuses.

Perfectly timed for the start of the sacred Jewish holiday, “Gaza Camps” — aka extremist occupation in support of anti-Jewish genocidal ideology — popped up across the country Monday. The enclaves of hate appeared, among other places, at MIT, NYU, even the University of Maryland.

Meanwhile, at Columbia University …

Who wants to keep pretending what we’re seeing has anything to do with love for the Palestinian people?

Shai Davidai, a Jewish professor at Columbia, passionately spoke out against the anti-Israeli protests.

On Monday, Davidai was not only denied a police escort through the crowds on campus, but claims the university deactivated his access card, thus denying him entry. With Al’s Afternoon Tea yesterday, we served up the words of Columbia President Nemat “Minouche” Shafik, who, while condemning the protestors’ “language” of “harassment,” expressed her hope to bring both sides together to talk about common solutions.

Meanwhile, the home district office of U.S. Rep. John Carter (R-TX) was vandalized.

President Joe Biden made his first comments on the anti-Jewish unrest, telling reporters, “I condemn the antisemitic protests. I also condemn those who don’t understand what’s going on with the Palestinians.”

As one commenter noted on X: “He legit did ‘very fine people on both sides.’”

With this first full day of Passover, exactly 200 days after October 7, with hostages still being held, with Jewish students in our country held captive by mobs, we join in praying for the Jewish people here and abroad.

We remember God’s deliverance of the Israelites from the chains of their enemies.

Trump Trial as Painful as a Toothache

Donald Trump’s “hush money” trial is officially underway. Jurors heard opening statements, including one from the former head of the National Enquirer, David Pecker. Yes, the first trial of an American president kicked off with a tabloid titan. It’s the Babylon Bee’s world, we are only living in it.

The opening argument was delivered by former #3 Biden DOJ official Matthew Colangelo, who left the to join the pursuit of Trump. But no, the Biden administration is not coordinating the cases against Trump. Colangelo just moved to New York for the chance to see more Broadway shows. (More on the coordination next.)

Colangelo, stunningly, accused Trump of “orchestrating a scheme to corrupt the 2016 election,” claiming former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen crafting a nondisclosure agreement with Stormy Daniels was an “election conspiracy.” Huh? Aren’t Jack Smith and Fani Willis trying to lock Trump up for life for talking about the corruption in the 2020 election? We are so far out into the Twilight Zone now that we’d need Space X rockets to rescue us.

By the way, if Colangelo is correct and there’s good reason to concoct criminal charges against Trump for Cohen giving Daniels $130,000, what about the $150,000 Rev. Jeremiah Wright said Obama’s people wanted to pay him to stay quiet during the 2008 election? When’s Obama going to get charged with paying someone hush money?

Judge Juan Merchan adjourned early so an alternate juror could go to the dentist to deal with a toothache. This is the same judge who said Trump can’t go to his son’s high school graduation unless the trial moves faster than expected.

Meanwhile, New York Attorney General Letitia James’s effort to nullify Trump’s $175 million bond has failed. A court ruled Monday that the bond the former president put up stands after lawyers agreed to minor tweaks. If James wants Trump’s Bedminster club so badly, why not apply for membership?

Smoking Gun: White House Actively Involved in Ginning Up Classified-Documents Case

Meanwhile, there were some big revelations in Trump’s classified documents case. Judge Aileen M. Cannon released unredacted versions of some case documents Monday. Julie Kelly reveals why Jack Smith wanted redactions in those documents: They prove the Biden White House was actively involved in ginning up the classified-documents case against Trump.

As Kelly shows, there was also an admission from the National Archives General Counsel that getting all the classified documents transferred from an outgoing administration is a long process, and Trump’s was still several months away from being completed at the time.

However, the partisan running the National Archives at the time, David Ferrerio, declared, “I am out of patience.”

What’s more, the White House and National Archives and Records Administration were working together to build a case against Trump five months before the “official” referral from NARA to the DOJ.

It’s remarkable to compare the redacted documents with the newly released ones.

America’s catching on. According to a Rasmussen poll published Monday, a majority of voters now believe the trials against Trump are a witch hunt; 51% believe it is unlikely he gets a “fair trial” in New York. Most of those think it is impossible for him to get a fair trial.

Angel Reese: “Protect Young Women in Sports!”

Women’s basketball star Angel Reese has dropped a tweet with a simple message. “Protect young women in sports!!!”

The charismatic Louisiana State University star, a top 10 pick in the WNBA draft last week, did not elaborate. But coming days after the Biden administration sacrificed Title IX’s protections for women and girls to the gods of trans ideology, we doubt she’s talking about knee pads and helmets.

A tip of the cup to Angel for stepping up. These days, such a basic statement can get you hounded and canceled. Nothing but net, Angel.

The Riddler: What’s He Mean?

Good news! Joe Biden clearly answered a question from a reporter yesterday!

The bad news? No one can decipher what he meant.

“Don’t jump”?!

What do you think, Biden Codebreakers? The president clearly thought he was saying something clever, and his “yes” people dutifully laughed. Was this a dig at the reporter? The reporter was asking about steel; bridges are made of steel; and people jump off bridges? We’re stumped on this one.
