Al’s Afternoon Tea: Columbia’s Anti-Jewish ‘Solution,’ Dem Solution for Trump

Plus, Sunday marked the 35th anniversary of the release of Field of Dreams -- the kind of America we want to see restored.

Time to pause on this Earth Day and sip on the latest news. Have you ever wondered if Earth is jealous of Saturn? After all, Saturn got rings, and Earth only gets one holiday. (Yeah, I’m probably the only one who’s ever had that thought.)

Seriously, while Earth Day is about preserving God’s creation, we have today a story about playing god.

But first, we’ll start with one about the assault on God’s chosen people.

Columbia University Goes Virtual as Genocidal Anti-Jewish Protesters Go Wild

β€œNew York, New York. It’s a heckuva town. Antisemitism is up, democracy down.”

Classes at Columbia University went all-virtual today as pro-genocidal anti-Jewish protests at the school turned the Big Apple into something resembling 1938 Berlin. Hapless President Nemat “Minouche” Shafik gave the order overnight to essentially shut down campus, saying the university needed a β€œreset.” She condemned the β€œantisemitic language” and the β€œintimidating and harassing behavior” from pro-Palestinian protestors that has left Jewish students rightfully fearing for their lives.

The situation is so dangerous that Rabbi Elie Buechler, director of the Orthodox Union-Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus at Columbia/Barnard, advised Jewish students to stay away from campus. β€œIt deeply pains me to say that I would strongly recommend you return home as soon as possible and remain home until the reality in and around campus has dramatically improved,” Buechler wrote Sunday morning. β€œIt is not our job as Jews to ensure our own safety on campus.”

However, rather than act forcefully against the pro-Hamas armies that have settled on her campus and terrorized Jews, Shafik wants to keep police out of it and hug it out. β€œLet’s sit down and talk and argue and find ways to compromise on solutions,” she said, while reaching for her guitar to belt out a heartfelt rendition of “Kumbaya.”

Don’t you get it, Shafik? Those protesters already have a solution: The Final Solution.

Columbia isn’t the only Ivy League school boiling with raging antisemitism today. Riot police stormed Yale early Monday to quell an anti-Jewish riot there.

Don’t expect the Soros-funded Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg to prosecute the terrorists who have taken over a major university in his city, though. He’s too busy trying to imprison Donald Trump.

Opening arguments began today in the so-called β€œhush money” case today, though they ended early because a juror had toothache. (Not that you could hear the arguments over the screams of β€œDeath to Israel! Death to America!” on the streets outside, anyway.)

Citizens of the Big Apple, are you going to stand up and do something about this?

β€œIt’s up to you, New York, New York.”

Dems Want to Remove Trump’s Secret Service Protection If Convicted

Tucker Carlson drew cries of β€œtin foil conspiracy theorist” a few months back when he said the next step after lawfare against Donald Trump would be assassination. The fact that Democratic strategist James Carville has been talking about β€œwetwork” as a way to do away with Trump was passed off by legacy media outlets as a mere turn of phrase.

To that, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) says β€œHold my beer.” The former token head of the Pelosi-Cheney J6 Committee has introduced legislation that would strip anyone of Secret Service protection if he or she is convicted of a crime punishable by more than a year in prison. By “anyone,” he clearly means the leading GOP presidential candidate, who happens to be facing criminal charges in three states and the District of Columbia at the moment.

Thompson and allied Democrats call their bill the “Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable (DISGRACED) Former Protectees Act.” (Oooooh. Sooooo clever, Bennie.) It should be called β€œGuarantee Election by Shanking and Terminating Administration’s Political Opponent” (GESTAPO).

The whole idea is to force Trump, if he’s ever convicted, into a prison cell without protection, where his life would be in immediate danger.

Not that New York Congressional candidate Nate McMurray would mind. He was cheering for the demise of all MAGA supporters after the vote to send $61 billion to Ukraine.

Shockingly β€” or hysterically, depending on your mood β€” Hillary Clinton, actually accused Trump Friday of wanting to β€œkill” and β€œimprison” his opposition. Yes, the ruthless politico whose hit list runs longer than El Chapo’s. (And who’d be in San Quentin right now if Trump had been so inclined.) What chutzpah.

Meanwhile, the self-described anarcho-communist who set himself on fire outside Trump’s trial Friday in an act of β€œrevolution” has died. Maxwell Azzarello, a former Democratic congressional staffer, left behind an anti-government screed that rages about a β€œtotalitarian doomsday cult” and attacks elites from Bill Clinton and George Bush to the writers of The Simpsons for convincing us zombies β€œthat our eroding collective circumstances are our own faults.”

White House Defends Debunked Story About Biden’s Uncle Being Eaten by Cannibals

Whatever your job is, it can’t possibly be as hard as trying to control the spin at the Biden White House. How could you possibly spin the debunking of Joe Biden’s whopper about his uncle being eaten by cannibals in New Guinea? You can’t say he’s a pathological liar about everything in his personal biography and family history. You can’t say his brain is so shot he can’t tell fiction from reality. You can’t even blame Trump or Putin for what he said on this point.

So what’s a poor White House press secretary to do? In admitting that Uncle Bosie wasn’t likely consumed by cannibals and that Biden was happy for the chance to honor his uncle’s military service and sacrifice, Karine Jean-Pierre said, “The president had an emotional and I think a symbolic moment.”

That’s what we call deceit – or at best, inventing alternate realities — now? β€œA symbolic moment”?

Can the world risk β€œemotional” and β€œsymbolic moments” from the guy whose finger on the nuclear button?

Papua New Guinea is upset with this explanation. Even the liberal Daily Beast reported that experts on the region are calling Biden’s remark β€œupsetting,” β€œcrazy” and saying it could harm efforts to build relations in the Pacific. Prime Minister James Marape wasn’t pleased to see his country being deemed cannibalistic by the leader of the free world, saying Sunday, β€œPresident Biden’s remarks may have been a slip of the tongue; however, my country does not deserve to be labeled as such.” Allan Bird, the governor of Papua New Guinea’s East Sepik province, told The Guardian he was β€œlost for words.”

Bird did say he wasn’t offended. Instead, he found Biden’s comments β€œhysterical.”

Once again, people overseas are laughing at us.

Judicial Watch: FBI Knew Fauci Funded Wuhan Lab for Purpose of Creating Virus That Would Not Show Evidence of Human Manipulation

Remember when COVID was all the rage and Anthony Fauci, along with his approved scientists and media mouthpieces, were insisting the virus showed no signs of being manufactured? In other words, the thing just popped up in nature by utter coincidence on the doorstep of the Wuhan lab?

Remember Fauci  insisting under oath that the research he funded didn’t have anything to do with β€œgain of function”?

Boy, has Judicial Watch uncovered a smoking gun. FBI records the watchdog organization obtained show the bureau was investigating Fauci’s payments to the Wuhan lab. An email from FBI Newark says Fauci’s agency paid for β€œgain-of-function” research. And not just any gain-of-function research: The purpose was to create viruses that β€œwould leave no signatures of purposeful human manipulation.”

In other words, Fauci was paying for research by our Communist adversaries to create a deadly virus that would not look man-made. We have a word for that: It’s called a β€œbioweapon.”

Fauci long argued the reason scientists would conduct the very dangerous gain-of-function research was to prepare ways to deal with the emergence of powerful naturally occurring viruses. In that case, why would you care if your viruses carried a signature of human manipulation? They could carry John Hancock’s signature for all it matters … if Fauci were telling the truth.

But enough of that. Let’s finish our Afternoon Tea with something sweet.

β€œIf You Build It, He Will Come”: American Classic Field of Dreams Released 35 Years Ago

β€œIs this heaven?”

β€œIt’s Iowa.”

“Iowa”?

“Yeah.”

β€œI could have sworn it was heaven.”

Yesterday marked the 35th anniversary of the release of Field of Dreams. Truly, is there any other movie that is virtually guaranteed to make men cry at the end?

“Dad? …. Do you want to have a catch?”

The fable of an Iowa farmer compelled by a disembodied voice to build a pristine baseball diamond in his cornfield is even more compelling today than in 1989 in its depiction of a simpler, more honest time.

Watching James Earl Jones’s iconic β€œPeople Will Come” monologue amid the news of the day and state of the nation is to ache and be reminded of β€œwhat was good, and could be again.”

A tip of the cup to Field of Dreams and all movies that aim to inspire rather than indoctrinate.

Serving Up on The Stream

If Disney remade the film, it’d feature Dylan Mulvaney as the ghost of “Strapless” Joe Jackson.

Speaking of movies, John Zmirak hit the cineplex over the weekend. He says, β€œDon’t Go See Civil War, But The Hunt Deserves a Second Look.”

Fresh out of the oven, Nancy Flory tells us about β€œMSNBC Suggests Programing Bringing the Bible to Kids in Public Schools Is Right-Wing Grooming.”
