The Brew: Biden Now Building Part of Trump’s Border Wall? Trump Eyeballing Speakership?
Happy Friday!
Weβve got a Brew to pourβ¦
But Wait! Walls are Racist! Biden Decides to Build Border Wall in Texas, But Heβs Not Happy About It
After …
- Shutting down construction of Trumpβs βracistβ border wall β¦
- Selling off the materials purchased to build the wall (at great loss) β¦
- Insisting in 2020, “There will not be another foot of wall constructed on my administrationβ β¦ and
- Letting in millions upon millions of illegal immigrants with his open borders policies …
Joe Biden has decided to construct a minor 20-mile stretch of border wall in Texas.
DHS Secretary Mayorkas called the building of the wall an βan acute and immediate need.β Well, yeah. Record numbers are coming across the border, facilities are overrun, and the deluge gives no appearance of slowing.
However, the decision comes only after pressure from Democratic members of Congress from Texas in risk of losing their seats, and Democratic mayors and governors screaming at him to do something.
Yet, despite this βacute and immediateβ β¦ and obvious need β¦ Biden didnβt want to do it. He actually wanted to reappropriate the money away from the wall, but Congress wouldnβt let him.
Biden on south Texas border wall construction: βThe money was appropriated for the border wall. I tried to get them to re-direct that money … I canβt stop thatβ

In fact, when asked βDo you think a border wall works?β He answered βNo.β
Reporter: βDo you believe the border wall works?β
Biden: βNoβ

Well thatβs coherent.
Of course, Biden is being called out by the likes of CNN for his flip-flop.

Letβs assume the administration follows through and actually builds a wall to stop the invasion in that one tiny stretch of Texas. Will Biden shore up the border elsewhere or do anything to truly stop millions from coming across illegally? Watch what his minions do in the dead of night. A few weeks back we learned that people wanting to come into the country by (falsely) claiming refugee status can use the DHS CBP One smartphone app to book direct flights. Bypass the border. Some 200,000 have come in that way thus far, the Center for Immigration Studies discovered.
What of the 7 million or so illegals Biden has let in already? And the fentanyl? Sen. John Barrasso offers a devastating analogy.
Americans who have died from Fentanyl since @JoeBiden has been president = a full Amtrak train crashing & dying, every other day. When a train crashes, they say the engineer was asleep at the switch. With Sleepy Joe asleep at the switch, people are dying by the train loads. pic.twitter.com/ijygoyFAxh

Trump Coming to D.C. to Assist in Selection of New Speaker? Says Heβs Open to Temporarily Taking the Position (Then Again … )
UPDATE: Trump has given Rep. Jim Jordan his “complete & total endorsement” to be the next Speaker of the House. The former president made the announcement in an overnight post on Truth Social.
Donald Trump is coming to D.C. to meet with Republicans in advance of the vote for a new Speaker. As weβve reported, Trumpβs name has been tossed into the ring. Is he truly interested? Republican sources tell Politico Trump is open to pitching himself as a candidate. The former president told Fox News Digital:
I have been asked to speak as a unifier because I have so many friends in Congress. If they donβt get the vote, they have asked me if I would consider taking the speakership until they get somebody longer-term, because I am running for president.
In any event, Trump’s going to play kingmaker. And Trump showing up makes the Speaker drama that much more intriguing.
Speaking of Trump, his lawyers have filed a motion to dismiss, with prejudice, the D.C. case involving his efforts to verify/challenge the 2020 election on the basis of presidential immunity. Trump argues that ensuring the election integrity and a fair and accurate count was entirely within his duties as President of the United States.
Attack on Vivek Ramaswamy
On Wednesday, Newsweek broke the exclusive that the FBI has created a special subcategory of βextremistβ to specifically target Trump and his supporters. Just one day later, a protester slammed his car into that of GOP candidate and Trump fan Vivek Ramaswamy outside a campaign appearance. Ramaswamy, thankfully, was not in the car at the time and is uninjured.
Vivek Ramaswamy attended a campaign event earlier today & was met by a small group of protestors. He respectfully answered their questions and thanked them for expressing their views even while disagreeing with them. Victory: Pa. School District Reverses Decision on Trans Bathrooms After Large Student Protest
Students spoke up and won. The Perkiomen Valley School District has reversed course and has passed a policy requiring students to use the bathroom associated with their biological sex. Just weeks ago, the school board rejected the proposal, igniting a massive student protest.
Student John Ott organized the protest: “Kids were upset. Girls β¦ we wanted to protect them. They were upset. They didn’t want men in their bathroom.”
Tim Jagger, a father in the school district, credits the students speaking up. “That was huge,β he told Fox News Digital, βthe student walkout that day and the community members coming through and talking at the board meeting, voicing their opinion. I believe that all this came together and worked on the school board members, and I was happy to see that they decided to change their policy.”
