I’d like to take a break from talking about politics to focus on spiritual warfare.

But I can’t. The two subjects have merged in the course of this election season. Seriously, the way you can’t find a KFC now that isn’t also a Long John Silver’s, you can’t winnow out the political conflict in our country from the stark showdown between fragile human goods and preternatural evil.

The stances, plans, and intentions of the Democratic Party are, bluntly, exports from Hell. If their candidates aren’t “possessed,” it’s because they don’t need to be: Without spinning heads or spewing green puke, they willingly serve the enemy. Their ideas are not human ones, not the product of lazy intellects or misguided ideals, but instead hate-driven schemes whispered to them by ageless malevolent spirits.

Any pastor who says he wants to “stay out of politics” is telling you something about himself. He’s saying (in a yellow-bellied weasel kind of way):

I don’t care about my neighbor. Or my flock. I don’t give a rat’s rear end about what happens to your children or grandchildren. Or for that matter to my own. I just want to be left alone to cash my check for 30 pieces of silver and enjoy my mess of pottage. Go read your Bible or something.

Fallen Men vs. a Demonic Agenda

And that’s his privilege. We each have free will. And such Christians already have their reward: They will be targeted a little later by those who hate the Gospel, our country, and our way of life. They might even collect some government contracts for smuggling in still more immigrants, or jabbing still more kids with experimental vaccines. The Vichy French drama queen of “principled conservatism” who endorsed Kamala Harris will keep his New York Times column a little longer, while he still remains of use to his masters as the Tokyo Rose for Christians. When they’re done with him, they’ll cast him and his ilk aside like like so much used Kleenex.

No, I’m not saying that Donald Trump and the Republicans are the “party of God,” even by comparison, or anything like that. They’re the party of fallen men, with worldly passions and warped priorities. But their failings are just that — human, weak, comprehensible, and amenable to correction. Thanks to Jesus’s sacrifice, men are redeemable, and we can call no one truly “lost” before the moment of his death — which might just turn out like the honest thief’s death on a cross.

The demons believe all this, and tremble. There’s no point in arguing with them. They’re vastly more intelligent than we are, and they already know the Truth. They know it and reject it. The icy, timeless spirits that want to abort, castrate, groom, and molest our children know that such deeds are evil, that nobody’s happiness even in this short life is served by these bloody sacrifices. As they lure weak souls into doing such things, and corrupt leaders into legalizing and glorifying them, they’re laughing at their victims and even their accomplices.

They Know What They’re Doing

And increasingly the Democrats who serve these ghastly spirits are emulating their masters. No, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz didn’t really think that the George Floyd riots they encouraged and enabled would bring about racial justice. They don’t believe that defunding the police will reduce urban crime. They don’t think flooding our troubled country with millions of unvetted people from around the world will benefit our economy, or even help those migrants. Such leaders know that thousands of such immigrants will be sexually assaulted, economically exploited, then shoveled onto the dead-end gravy train of our welfare system. The elites trying to control our lives and take away our freedoms know all this. But like their masters, they just don’t care.

Nobody really believes that burning cities, burning flags, shattering families, printing endless new reams of money, politically purging our military, and infiltrating our churches will make America better. The people who favor such things aren’t moved by some mistaken vision of the Good. They are goaded and haunted and obsessed by a spirit of blind destruction. They feel empty and meaningless, and think they can fill the gaping, infected wounds deep in their souls by lashing out and tearing down, denouncing and persecuting.

I think this stark, frightening truth is becoming clear to more and more Americans, and that’s why I’m actually hopeful. But my hope lies not with princes, nor with our own paltry power.

On a Human Level, We’re Toast

On a purely human level, I’d have to tell you that I think the next election is lost, and with it all hope for our country. Ask me for a “gut check,” and I’d tell you that I feel like a Frenchman in May 1940, watching the Nazis pouring their tanks across our border.

We haven’t yet fixed election fraud, so the Democrats will cheat. Our media acts each day more like East German state broadcasters in the 1970s. The Democratic Party has abandoned any pretense of patriotism or Americanism, openly talking (as Harris has) about illegally seizing Americans’ guns by dictatorial executive order, then packing the Supreme Court with enough Fani Willises and Juan Merchans to make the Constitution lose all its meaning.

But God might have other ideas. I keep seeing little glimmers, and sometimes bright bursts, of hope. By any human reckoning, that bullet the Secret Service let someone fire at Donald Trump a few weeks ago should have torn apart his head. What all of us saw on live TV was a full-on miracle.

By any sane political calculus, the Democrats should have nominated an appealing, politically moderate vice presidential candidate, if only to lull the country into a false sense of normalcy.

But the devil always overplays his hand, and when God lets him do that, we witness a different sort of miracle.

The Tim Walz Nomination Could Be the Democrats’ Stalingrad

With all the hubris and bluster of Hitler invading Russia, the Democrats chose a phony soldier with stolen valor who fled from the service rather than serve his country in Iraq. A governor of Minnesota who let his cities burn while his wife swooned over the smell of burning tires, then changed its flag to flatter the Somali “refugees” he’d settled therein.

Walz favors not just late-term abortions but full-on infanticide, and treating pedophilia as a sexual orientation, of the kind now legally protected by the misreading of our Civil Rights Act. He honeymooned in Red China shortly after the massacre in Tiananmen Square. He claims that our First Amendment doesn’t protect what he deems to be “misinformation.” He put tampon machines in boys’ bathrooms all across his state.

The Openly Demonic Agenda

The madness goes on and on, and if the Republicans have any sense left, they will hang Tim Walz around their opponents’ necks like a millstone. So far, the Trump campaign seems to be taking this treasure and using it, not burying it in a field. As a recent email reminds us:

Walz transformed Minnesota into a third-world refuge for the Radical Left’s most deranged lunacy — and now he’s joining forces with Kamala to do it to the rest of the country.

By picking Walz, Kamala has doubled down on her far-left fantasy:

1. Walz fully supports “sanctuary cities” and “sanctuary states.”
2. Walz refuses to call Kamala’s unprecedented border invasion a “crisis.”
3. Walz wants to provide “ladder[s]” to aid illegal immigrants in scaling the border wall.
4. Walz signed legislation giving illegal aliens free, taxpayer-funded health care and college.
5. Walz signed legislation allowing illegal aliens to get driver’s licenses and title vehicles.
6. Walz opened an “Office of New Americans,” which spends taxpayer dollars “solely on supporting immigrant and refugee integration” in the sanctuary state.
7. Walz allowed leftist rioters to burn Minneapolis to the ground (who Kamala subsequently bailed out), directed police to surrender their precinct, stalled deploying the National Guard for days, then excused the riots as what happens when “a society that does not put equity and inclusion at the center.”
8. Walz backs voting rights for convicted felons — including violent criminals.
9. Walz allowed criminals to walk free — including a woman who drowned her own baby.
10. Walz thinks voter ID and voter integrity laws are solutions “looking for a problem.”
11. Walz raised billions in new taxes — and wanted to raise them even more.
12. Walz smeared rural America as “mostly rocks and cows.”
13. Walz supports a ban on gas-powered vehicles.
14. Walz signed legislation to FORCE Minnesota to be “carbon-free” by 2040.
15. Walz opposes fracking.
16. Walz backed defunding the police.
17. Walz presided over a massive uptick in violent crime.
18. Walz thinks “one person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.”
19. Walz opposes restricting sexually explicit and pornographic content from elementary schools.
20. Walz signed legislation requiring schools to stock menstrual products in boys’ bathrooms.
21. Walz signed an order allowing minors to receive gender reassignment surgeries with no age limit.
22. Walz thinks it’s “insane” to be upset at partnering with a satanic designer to promote transgender products for kids.
23. Walz smeared President Trump’s supporters as “fascists,” just days after the assassination attempt against him.
24. Walz defended his forced school lockdowns and masking, even after they were shown to be ineffective.
25. Walz set up a snitch line for neighbors to rat each other out for violating his tyrannical COVID orders.
26. Walz laughed at citizens who dared to criticize his misguided lockdown order.
27. Walz discharged COVID-positive patients to long-term care facilities, which were decimated with some of highest death rates in the nation.
28. Walz oversaw massive, wide-reaching fraud that cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.
29. Walz enshrined into law unrestricted abortion-on-demand until birth and stripped away the right of newborn babies to receive lifesaving care.
30. Walz lied about his own National Guard service.
31. Walz has repeatedly praised communist China, saying the U.S. shouldn’t have an “adversarial relationship” with them.
32. Walz covered up Biden’s obvious cognitive decline.
33. Walz surrounds himself with the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Keith Ellison.

Democrats have now nominated two socialists to their party ticket — without a single vote cast for any of them.

Maybe America will turn out like Nineveh, not Sodom. If so, all glory and honor to God, since it’s better than we deserve. There’s still time to fast and pray.
