VIDEO: Parents of U.S. Marines Killed in Afghanistan Withdrawal Chaos Share Their Heartbreak and Anger
Yesterday at Escondido City Hall, in an extraordinary field hearing held by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Ca.), family members of the 13 U.S. Marines killed by a suicide bomber during the chaotic, poorly planned withdrawal from Afghanistan shared their their questions, their accusations, their frustrations, their demands for accountability … and their gut-wrenching heartbreak.
We’ve compiled the most compelling moments from the hearing.
Stream publisher James Robison says “Every single person who cares anything about freedom and the future of freedom in this country must hear what they said. Every person must listen to this. I plead with you. Listen to what the parents of the Marines killed in Afghanistan β unnecessarily βhad to say to the leadership of our country.”

“Their story cannot end today,” said Rep. Issa at the close of the hearing. “I said for today because their story cannot end today. In 1792, George Washington impaneled the first Congressional investigation of a failed military battle. It is not new for there to be military mistakes. But it is, in fact, a tradition that investigations don’t end until every question has been answered. All of us have the obligation to retell their stories, to not let it fade until every question has been answered.”
God bless and keep these Gold Star families, and may we never forget the sacrifice made by their loved ones.
