Abortion is dangerous. When people discuss “safe abortion,” they neglect to consider (or willfully ignore) that, in every successful abortion, a baby dies. A life will end if all goes well. The folks at ThinkProgress certainly haven’t faced that fact, and tweeted something very strange to make the point that abortion clinics don’t need higher safety standards. Their attempt missed the mark by a mile.

The poor logic behind this tweet was obvious even to those who support abortion:

It’s always heartening to see people responding with the truth, as ugly as it may be. Abortion is never safe. It’s not always safe for women, and it’s never safe for the babies they carry. Sorry, ThinkProgress, but we’re not buying what you’re selling.
