The White House’s Drag Queen Meter Maid Wants to Confiscate Your Children
And other dispatches from the front lines of the Sexual Revolution
โThe views of Assistant Secretary for Health Richard Levine, who calls himself โRachel,โ are typical of the trans movementโs assault on parents,โ said Ruth Institute President, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D.
While calling a Florida parental rights law a โgag rule,โ Levine said it would be wonderful if parents of gender-confused children could be โreplacedโ as decision-makers by โa teacher, guidance counselor, or some other coach or another school personnel.โ
Morse responded: “Richard Levine’s proposal that more-affirming, gay-friendly adults take over the parental role is the Sexual State at work. No normal person would accept the idea that a minor child should be allowed to try to change the sex of his or her body. So, the Sexual State steps in and replaces the parents with someone more friendly to the State’s truly radical Sexual Revolutionary agenda.”

The Florida law Levine finds objectionable prohibits discussion of so-called sexual orientation and gender identity with children through the third grade. It also requires school personnel to notify parents before discussing services that involve โgender-transitioning.โ
โJamie Reed is the type of adult Levine would definitely not want these children to talk to,โ Morse said. โReed, who worked for four years at the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Childrenโs Hospital, calls transitioning children โmorally and medically appalling.โโ
Reed, who describes herself as a โqueer progressive,โ said it can take as little as a note from a psychologist to get the transitioning process started. She also said children usually arenโt warned of the long-term effects of hormone โtreatment,โ which can include sterility and diabetes.
โThatโs why people like Levine are anxious to keep parents, and ultimately children, in the dark,โ Morse said. โIn many public schools, a nurse canโt give a child an aspirin without parental consent. But Levine would like teachers to sell gender transitioning to vulnerable children without parents knowing about it.โ

Obergefellโs Legacy: Redefining Marriage Redefines Parenthood
The Judeo-Christian understanding of marriage is the best public policy possible in this fallen world.
By Jennifer Roback Morse
Obergefell v. Hodges was wrongly decided. This case proves it.
I was pretty sure I knew what I was going to find when I clicked on this screaming headline from NBC News: โA lesbian lost her son to his sperm donor: Should other gay parents be concerned?โ
The โsperm donorโ is the childโs father. The lesbian is not related to โher sonโ either through biology or adoption. She feels cheated. We are supposed to feel sorry for her because the court gave custody of the child to his biological parents. This is exactly the type of case that shows how wrong-headed the Supreme Courtโs Obergefell v. Hodges decision really was.
What Should We Think About the Pavone Affair?
How should faithful Catholics respond to the Pavone Affair, and second, what should Frank Pavone himself do or not do?
By Jennifer Roback Morse
The laicization of and sexual harassment charges against Frank Pavone have deeply disturbed faithful pro-life Catholics. Online discussions include armchair analyses of what his religious superiors and the Board of Priests for Life should have done. Some people want to know why these charges are coming up at this particular time. Still others want to know why the Vatican is singling out Pavone for discipline while ignoring other problematic priests.
Without dismissing these legitimate questions, I would like to focus on two questions. First, how should faithful Catholics respond to the Pavone Affair, and second, what should Frank Pavone himself do or not do?
But first, letโs recap the facts known to the public as of this writing.
Sixties Sex Symbol Knew the Importance of Family
Commenting on the recent death of Raquel Welch, Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said: โThis model and actress of six decades came to symbolize the so-called new sexual freedom of the 1960s.โ
โAnd yet, there was another side to Raquel Welch. In 2010, she wrote a commentary for CNN, which helped put the Sexual Revolution in perspective,โ Morse said.
In her article, Welch asked: โIs marriage still a viable option? Iโm ashamed to admit that I myself have been married four times. And yet I still feel that it is the cornerstone of civilization, an essential institution that stabilizes society, provides a sanctuary for children and saves us from anarchy.โ

Morse remarked: โWhat powerful testimony from a woman who came to represent the Sexual Revolution, but obviously had serious doubts later in life.โ
Welch continued:
In stark contrast, a lack of sexual inhibitions, or as some would call it, โsexual freedom,โ has taken the caution and discernment out of choosing a sexual partner, which used to be the equivalent of choosing a life partner. Without commitment, the trust and loyalty between couples of childbearing age is missing, and obviously leads to incidents of infidelity. No one seems immune.
โWhen I read those words, I said to myself, this lady gets it,โ Morse said. โMy book, The Sexual State, exposes the toxic ideologies that are tearing families apart. Like Welch, I see the family as the cornerstone of civilization and an essential institution.โ
โIโm sorry that more attention wasnโt paid to this heartfelt statement from a woman who saw that what started in the Sixties wasnโt liberating at all, but a tragedy for men, women and children,โ Morse remarked.
โRaquel Welch was both a symbol of the Sexual Revolution and one of its victims. I am grateful for her testimony that โliberationโ wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.โ
