The State of the Union: Celebrating the Resilience of the ‘Iranian’ People?

By Al Perrotta Published on March 2, 2022

“Putin may circle Kiev with tanks, but he’ll never gain the hearts and souls of the Iranian people!” so declared Joe Biden during last night’s State of the Union.

“Iranian?” you say?

“Forget it, he’s on a roll.”

Just like when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, eh, Blutto? Biden was speaking in the House of Representatives. Or was it a scene from Animal House?

The epic gaffe was but one moment in a speech that wouldn’t strike fear in the hearts of our enemies or hope in the souls of Americans. The good news when you’re Joe Biden? The media rates your speech to Congress a success if you don’t keel over like the fake President Bill Mitchell in the movie Dave.

Russia-Ukraine War

At the top of his speech, Biden focused on the Ukraine-Russia war. No surprise. Focusing on the state of our Union would be as depressing as a Russian novel. So start off with the rah-rah before a lot of blah-blah.

Aside from assuring the world Putin would not get the better of the Iranians, Biden promised to seize the yachts, apartments, and wealth of Russian oligarchs.

“Tonight, I say to the Russian oligarchs and the corrupt leaders who milk billions of dollars off this violent regime: No more. I mean it.” He doesn’t mean he’ll go after the oligarch who paid his son Hunter $3.5 million.

Biden’s also closing off American airspace to all Russian aircraft. However, the tankers bringing Russian crude to us since he gave up our energy independence? Sail on in, boys.

Yup. Biden did not do the one thing that would really put a bruising on Putin, which is immediately return us to energy independence by re-igniting our energy production. Instead, he yapped more about green energy eliminating our need for foreign energy. After removing his lips from AOC’s behind, Biden did not explain how that would help the situation right now

Biden also didn’t explain the failure to prevent the Russian invasion, despite his campaign promise that he was the one who’d stop Putin. The one who Putin feared.

In fairness, Biden did want to “make clear” U.S. troops won’t be engaged in combat in Ukraine.

Lauren Boebert and Nancy Pelosi

A bit of drama and peculiarity when Biden was talking about U.S. servicemen exposed to dangerous chemicals from burn pits. When Biden spoke of a “flag-draped coffin.” GOP Rep Lauren Boebert shouted “You put them in, 13 of them!” A reference to the 13 American soldiers blown up during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. She was greeted with groans.

Worth noting that not once did Biden mention the sacrifice of those 13 brave American heroes. Perhaps had they been transgender, it would have been worth a salute from the Commander-in-Chief.

Within this same sequence, Speaker Nancy Pelosi had a bizarre reaction. She jumped up like she’d been goosed by Kamala, apparently anticipating an applause line. And did this weird clap, like she was rubbing perfume on her wrists.

You know that Russian vodka that people are pulling off shelves? Gotta wonder if Nancy hit the stash.

Chuck Schumer also got caught jumping an applause line.

I’d say he was a trained seal, but a trained seal wouldn’t blow his cue.

On COVID

Biden spoke of the progress against COVID, boasting “I’ve ordered more pills than anyone in the world has.” Up your dosage. He didn’t mention the glorious coincidence that the Democrats lifted their mask mandate out of the blue just in time for the speech.

Biden revealed the DOJ will soon be announcing a “chief prosecutor for pandemic fraud.” If the first person indicted isn’t Tony Fauci, the effort by the DOJ is a fraud.

Biden also said … well, we’re not exactly sure what he was trying to say. here “You can’t build a wall high enough to keep out…uhh…a uh, a vaccine”

And speaking of walls …

Hasn’t He Been Paying Attention to What He and His Party Have Done for Two Years?!

Perhaps Biden had one of his lapses and forgot he’s not Joe Biden. Or somehow one of Trump’s speeches got stuck in the teleprompter. Biden actually said, “If we are to advance liberty and Justice, we need to secure the border and fix the immigration system.” Yes, Joe Biden said that. Surprised he didn’t go on to blast whoever stopped construction of the border wall and has let in over 2,000,000 illegals since taking office.

The guy whose staffers and VP were bailing out rioters in 2020 and kicked dirt on the Thin Blue Line, also offered this beauty: “The answer is not to defund the police. It’s to fund the police.”

When Democrats were waging war on police, Biden was playing video games in his basement. Did you hear an apology?

That wasn’t Biden’s most egregious rewrite of his own history.

“Imagine what it’s like to look at your child, who needs insulin to stay healthy, and have no idea how in God’s name you’re going to be able to pay for it.”

Imagine being the president who, at first opportunity, reversed Trump’s successful efforts to lower the cost of insulin.

What is the State of the Union?

So what is the “State of the Union”? Again, Biden plagerized. This time from presidents who a majority of voters don’t dub a “failure.” He said, “We are stronger today than we were a year ago. And we will be stronger a year from now than we are today.”

We waited all night for Twitter to block him for transmitting misinformation.

Finally, “Go Get Him”

Biden ended his speech with what sounded like “God bless our troops. Go Get Him.”

Go get who? Who are our troops going to get? Should Putin take that as a threat?

Again, we’re reminded of the movie Dave, where the actor hired to impersonate the president simply repeats with gusto what he’s hearing the White House aides telling him to do, “Go! Go! Go!”

You laugh. But so is Putin.

NOTE: Here’s the full text of Biden’s speech, according to the Associated Press. The AP removed the slurring and um’s lest the text run longer than War and Peace.
