The Morning Brew: ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ at 27,000 Feet, Joe’s Polls Get Even Stinkier and Alec Baldwin Speaks
Happy November!
As we gather for the month’s first cup of joe, we have to ask “Where’s Joe?”
Where’s Joe? Biden a No-Show for G20 Event
Joe Biden was a no-show for the final G20 event Sunday. The G20 leaders, as is tradition, gathered to flip coins into Trevi Fountain in Rome. But Biden, inexplicably, was nowhere to be found.

This after Biden was off to the side as the leaders gathered for a formal portrait.

I’d be in hiding, too, if I saw the new polling numbers out Sunday from NBC News. 71% — including nearly half of Democrats — believe the nation is on the wrong track. Only 42% approve of Biden’s job performance, down seven points since August.
Southwest Pilot Says “Let’s Go Brandon.” Apoplectic AP Reporter on Plane Tries Getting in Cockpit
On Friday a morning flight from Houston to Albuquerque, a Southwest pilot closed off an announcement by saying “Let’s Go Brandon.”
@thatpatriotmom 💀💀💀
Associated Press reporter Colleen Long, who was on the plane, was so triggered, she tried getting to the locked flight deck to confront the pilot.

And a CNN analyst is demanding all the passengers file a complaint with the FAA. The pilot has also been compared to an ISIS sympathizer.
How much you wanna bet the pilot could have shouted “Allah Akbar” and set the plane into a descent without generating as much hysteria among journalists?
Southwest has released a statement suggesting the pilot may be in for a bumpy ride.
Statement from @SouthwestAir “The Southwest Team takes pride in providing a welcoming, comfortable, and respectful environment for the millions of Customers who fly with the airline each year and behavior from any individual that is divisive or offensive will not be tolerated.”

If They Think “Let’s Go, Brandon” is Bad …
Meanwhile, a reminder of why the weeping and gnashing over the “Let’s Go Brandon” meme is so silly.

The New York Times was one of the financial supporters of the Public Theatre which put on the play. The editors said, “As an institution that believes in free speech for the arts as well as the media, we support the right of the Public Theater to stage the production as they chose.” We’re waiting for the editors to say “As an institution that believes in free speech for football fans as well as the arts …”.
By the way, NPR. When 71% of the country feels we’re going in the wrong direction, and a lot of the people watching college football are chanting “Let’s Go Brandon,” and rappers are hitting #1 with songs called “Let’s Go Brandon,” the phenomenon isn’t just found in “conservative circles.” It’s going mainstream.
No one is really cheering on a guy named Brandon. Instead, the phrase is being used in conservative circles in place of a more vulgar message directed at President Biden. https://t.co/lDxJQ8YYZE

Liberal Reporters Also Upset that Trump Did the Tomahawk Chop at World Series
Oh, sure, Biden wants to give illegal immigrants half-a-million dollars while wrecking the holiday shopping, and travel season’s a mess, and he’s flying ISIS terrorists into the country… But Orange Man Did the Tomahawk Chop!!
Yeah. Donald Trump attended Saturday night’s game four of the World Series in Atlanta, and the former President and Melania joined Braves fans in the traditional “tomahawk chop.”

And liberal writers want him scalped. Take ESPN’s Jeff Passan on Twitter: “It’s important, especially for those whose opinions on the matter are deeply ingrained and think any discussion of the tomahawk chop is disingenuous, to understand the mistreatment of indigenous people in Georgia and why the chop is so bothersome to many.”
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred traditionally bends to the Woke winds, but he actually defended the chop. He noted earlier in the week that the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation is fine with it. “The Native American community in that region is wholly supportive of the Braves program, including the chop. For me, that’s kind of the end of the story.”
Baldwin Makes First Public Comments on Shooting
“We were a very, very well-oiled crew, shooting a film together and then this horrible event happened,” Alec Baldwin told reporters Saturday in his first public comments since his accidental shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. He described Hutchins as a “friend,” and that he has met repeatedly with her husband and son.
“There are incidental accidents on film sets from time to time, but nothing like this,” Baldwin said. “This is a one in a trillion event.”
Baldwin said he’s been talking to investigators every day. “We are eagerly awaiting for the sheriff’s department to tell us what the investigation has yielded.”
The Bad Weekend for Race Hoaxters and Hustlers
It sure was a bad weekend for race hustlers and hoaxsters. How bad? From the pathetic and wicked hoax to try to paint GOP gubernatorial contender Glenn Youngkin as a racist, to Colin Kaepernick’s latest grab for attention, to CRT peddler Ibram X Kendri accidentally destroying his own arguments for CRT, race-baiters took it on the chin. How bad? I had to write a whole article about it. “A Bad Weekend for Race Hoaxsters and Hustlers”. Just up on The Stream.
