Exposing the ‘School-to-Sterilization Pipeline’ — Clip of Jay Richards on The Dr. J Show
“Think of puberty as the cure for most kids,” Jay Richards, Ph.D., told Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., on her Dr. J Show. He explained that “the vast majority of kids” who don’t feel at home with their biological sex and haven’t yet gone through puberty will stop feeling the need to identify with another sex if they’re allowed to go through puberty.
“We now know, if you put kids on the transition pipeline, even just the social transition, they’re much, much more likely to continue all the way to surgery. And so you might think, ‘Oh, I’m just changing pronouns and names. It’s no big deal.’ You have set them on a fast-track to sterilization.”
Richards is the executive editor of The Stream and the William E. Simon senior research fellow in The Heritage Foundation’s DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society. He joined Roback Morse on her Dr. J Show. In this clip, available for free on YouTube, they discuss the “school-to-sterilization pipeline.” The phrase refers to the way schools are intervening in the lives of children, often without parental knowledge or consent, in a way that starts with referring to the child by a name and pronouns that do not correspond to the child’s sex, moves to puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, and ends with the child being permanently sterilized.
