“Just because you’re going through troubling times does not mean that God has forgotten you,” The Chosen’s Elizabeth Tabish told The Stream’s Nancy Flory. Elizabeth plays Mary Magdalene in the hit television series. “It just means that there’s something that you have to go through and it’ s going to help you grow, it’s going to help mature you, it’s going to help prepare you for the next stage of who you were meant to be.”

In Season 3, Elizabeth’s character, Mary Magdalene, struggles with the guilt of her past. “Season 3 shows her really being confronted with how holding onto that shame is her and how it’s affecting others still, and how really step into who you’re meant to be, you really have to let go. … So, Season 3 shows her actually releasing her ties to her past.”
