The Brew: You Can Amplify the Sound of Freedom
Also, targeting teens and transgender beauty queens.
Happy Monday!
Weβre not just pouring The Brew, weβre pointing a way to fight the good fight.
Sound of Freedom Rocks the Box Office
βGodβs children are not for sale.β
Sound of Freedom continues making noise in movie theaters. After its strong July 4 opening, the harrowing drama depicting Tim Ballardβs battle against child sex trafficking finished a strong third at the weekend box office. Only the horror flick Insidious: The Red Door and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny did better. Sound of Freedom made $18 million over the weekend, for a total thus far of $40 million.
Variety admitted the movie is βshaping up to be an unlikely success.β
Star Jim Caviezelβs hope, that the film becomes to child sex trafficking what Uncle Tomβs Cabin did in the fight against slavery, is not farfetched. But Sound of Freedom isnβt just an important movie. It is a good movie. Not a βmust seeβ in the same way you βmust eat your vegetables.β
Since it would be very difficult to dismiss the movie on quality grounds, some critics are trying another tactic. Both Rolling Stone and the Washington Post tried tying the film to QAnon. As if what the film is depicts were some wild, out there conspiracy theory, rather than brutal, sickening reality.
βSound of Freedom,β the low-budget film about child sex trafficking almost topped the box office on July 4.
But its star, Jim Caviezel, has linked it to the QAnon movement. https://t.co/5AFcUBVlYF

Post Millennial points out a twisted irony to both Rolling Stone and WaPo harshly judging Sound of Freedom: Both publications were high on the Netflix film Cuties, which βdepicts a twerking dance crew made up of little girlsβ in a highly sexualized manner.
Stopping Child Sex Trafficking: You Can Be the Fuel for the Boat
If youβve seen Sound of Freedom, chances are you left the theater shaken. Feeling like you need to do something to stop the heinous sex trafficking of children. But what? Most of us wonβt be motoring a boat up a river into a hostile jungle to rescue little girls, like in the movie.
But hereβs the thing. You may not be riding in the boat. But you can be buying the fuel for that boat! Or the bolt cutters that break away the locks on cages. Or the boots that are kicking down the doors. And you can do that today.
RescueLIFE is a potent mission of our parent organization, LIFE Outreach International. Its missionaries been rescuing, recovering and restoring men, women and children from sex trafficking around the world β and in the United States β for over 15 years. With their partners on the ground, they bring freedom and light to some of the darkest corners of humanity. You can help spread the light.

A California School District Suspends Kids Five Days for Misgendering a Fellow Student
Two students at Herbert Hoover High School were suspended five days and faced βrestorative justiceβ for misgendering a transgender student. Fox News Digital got hold of an email sent by the schoolβs recently departed principal.
The Glendale Unified School District insists students arenβt suspended for accidentally using a βwrongβ pronoun, but only if the βaction escalated to harassment or bullying,β a spokesperson told Fox.
Transgender Wins Miss Universe Netherlands
The newly crowned Miss Universe Netherlands is a biological male. Yes, a transgender took the top prize at the beauty pageant Saturday night. The winner, who goes by Rikkie Valerie Kolle, bested nine women for chance to represent Netherlands at the Miss Universe pageant. Kolle is the first-ever biological man to win the national beauty title.
Kolle declared in a recent Instagram post, βI proudly admit that I wasn’t born as the woman I wanted to be, but I have developed myself into the woman I am.β
The epitome of feminine beauty in the Netherlands canβt even go to a female? The best woman for the job is a male? How is this not a slap to women?
Kolle isnβt the first to make it to the Miss Universe pageant. In 2018, Spain was represented by a biological male Angela Ponce.
In 2022, the Miss Universe pageant was purchased by a transgender businessperson, Anne Jakkapong Jakrajutatip, the CEO of the Thailand-based media company JKN Global Group.
Anglican Archbishop Second-Guesses Jesus: Calls βOur Fatherβ Problematic
Would you second-guess Jesus Christ? Seems the Anglican Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, has a problem with the words βOur Fatherβ in the Lordβs Prayer. Why? Because of their βpatriarchal association.β
Hereβs what he said at the General Synod gathering of leaders of the Church of England.
I know the word βfatherβ is problematic for those whose experience of earthly fathers has been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have laboured rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life.
A conservative Anglican, Canon Dr. Chris Sugden took Cottrell on:
Is the archbishop of York saying Jesus was wrong, or that Jesus was not pastorally aware? It seems to be emblematic of the approach of some church leaders to take their cues from culture rather than scripture.
