Also, targeting teens and transgender beauty queens.

Happy Monday!

We’re not just pouring The Brew, we’re pointing a way to fight the good fight.

Sound of Freedom Rocks the Box Office

β€œGod’s children are not for sale.”

Sound of Freedom continues making noise in movie theaters. After its strong July 4 opening, the harrowing drama depicting Tim Ballard’s battle against child sex trafficking finished a strong third at the weekend box office. Only the horror flick Insidious: The Red Door and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny did better. Sound of Freedom made $18 million over the weekend, for a total thus far of $40 million

Variety admitted the movie is β€œshaping up to be an unlikely success.”

Star Jim Caviezel’s hope, that the film becomes to child sex trafficking what Uncle Tom’s Cabin did in the fight against slavery, is not farfetched. But Sound of Freedom isn’t just an important movie. It is a good movie. Not a β€œmust see” in the same way you β€œmust eat your vegetables.”

Since it would be very difficult to dismiss the movie on quality grounds, some critics are trying another tactic. Both Rolling Stone and the Washington Post tried tying the film to QAnon. As if what the film is depicts were some wild, out there conspiracy theory, rather than brutal, sickening reality.

Post Millennial points out a twisted irony to both Rolling Stone and WaPo harshly judging Sound of Freedom: Both publications were high on the Netflix film Cuties, which β€œdepicts a twerking dance crew made up of little girls” in a highly sexualized manner.

Stopping Child Sex Trafficking: You Can Be the Fuel for the Boat

If you’ve seen Sound of Freedom, chances are you left the theater shaken. Feeling like you need to do something to stop the heinous sex trafficking of children. But what? Most of us won’t be motoring a boat up a river into a  hostile jungle to rescue little girls, like in the movie.

But here’s the thing. You may not be riding in the boat. But you can be buying the fuel for that boat! Or the bolt cutters that break away the locks on cages. Or the boots that are kicking down the doors. And you can do that today.

RescueLIFE is a potent mission of our parent organization, LIFE Outreach International. Its missionaries been rescuing, recovering and restoring men, women and children from sex trafficking around the world β€” and in the United States β€” for over 15 years. With their partners on the ground, they bring freedom and light to some of the darkest corners of humanity. You can help spread the light.

Planned Parenthood Targets Minnesota Teens with Gift Cards for β€œSex Ed Summer Camp”

Don’t take candy from strangers. Don’t take gift cards from abortion mills that want to groom you for future business. Yes, Planned Parenthood North Central States is trying to entice Minnesota teens to a β€œsex ed summer camp,” offering gift cards up to $150 to children as young as 13.

The three week camp for 13-to-15 year olds is called S’MORE. (Science-based, medically accurate, open-minded responsible, [sex] education.)

“Campers attend a half-day camp to learn sex ed in a brave, creative, and collaborative environment, and take on a weeklong responsibility to share information with their community,” the website claims.

A Small Victory in the Fight Against the Sexualization and Mutilation of Children

The U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals on Saturday ruled that the new Tennessee law banning sex change therapies and surgeries for minors can go into effect.

A California School District Suspends Kids Five Days for Misgendering a Fellow Student

Two students at Herbert Hoover High School were suspended five days and faced β€œrestorative justice” for misgendering a transgender student. Fox News Digital got hold of an email sent by the school’s recently departed principal.

The Glendale Unified School District insists students aren’t suspended for accidentally using a β€œwrong” pronoun, but only if the β€œaction escalated to harassment or bullying,” a spokesperson told Fox.

Transgender Wins Miss Universe Netherlands

The newly crowned Miss Universe Netherlands is a biological male. Yes, a transgender took the top prize at the beauty pageant Saturday night. The winner, who goes by Rikkie Valerie Kolle, bested nine women for chance to represent Netherlands at the Miss Universe pageant. Kolle is the first-ever biological man to win the national beauty title.

Kolle declared in a recent Instagram post, β€œI proudly admit that I wasn’t born as the woman I wanted to be, but I have developed myself into the woman I am.”

The epitome of feminine beauty in the Netherlands can’t even go to a female? The best woman for the job is a male?  How is this not a slap to women?

Kolle isn’t the first to make it to the Miss Universe pageant. In 2018, Spain was represented by a biological male Angela Ponce.

In 2022, the Miss Universe pageant was purchased by a transgender businessperson, Anne Jakkapong Jakrajutatip, the CEO of the Thailand-based media company JKN Global Group.

Anglican Archbishop Second-Guesses Jesus: Calls β€œOur Father” Problematic

Would you second-guess Jesus Christ? Seems the Anglican Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, has a problem with the words β€œOur Father” in the Lord’s Prayer. Why? Because of their β€œpatriarchal association.”

Here’s what he said at the General Synod gathering of leaders of the Church of England.

I know the word β€˜father’ is problematic for those whose experience of earthly fathers has been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have laboured rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life.

A conservative Anglican, Canon Dr. Chris Sugden took Cottrell on:

Is the archbishop of York saying Jesus was wrong, or that Jesus was not pastorally aware? It seems to be emblematic of the approach of some church leaders to take their cues from culture rather than scripture.
