The Brew: We Know Where Tucker’s Going … as the Border is Set to Go Bonkers

Happy Wednesday!

Unless you happen to live near the southern border, where the clock is ticking.

Title 42 Hours from Ending, With Chaos Descending

When the bell tolls midnight, Title 42 will officially be over. And the border chaos on steroids begins. An estimated 700,000 or more migrants from all over the globe are already reportedly set to cross the border from Mexico. That’s in addition to the 6.3 million who already illegally crossed since Biden took the helm and took away most of the methods of protecting the border.

Title 42, the Trump move to use the COVID emergency as a way to immediately deport people illegally crossing the border, was one of the last defenses.

A key question today. Is this Administration ready for the onslaught?

No. Even Arizona’s radical leftist Gov. Katie Hobbs says she is “afraid the federal government is unprepared” for what’s about to happen. “We have not received an adequate response” about White House plans for the expected surge of migrants at the southern border. It’s “incredibly frustrating,” she told a news conference Monday.

But don’t worry. The White House said yesterday that Biden has “been closely consulting with the Vice President” on the border crisis.

I know I’m comforted.

Is the White House even interested in stopping the flood of illegals? Hardly. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas insists the border is “secure.”

In this clip, he talks about marshalling resources for the most “effective results.” Does that mean stopping people from coming over? Deporting those make it over? Hardly, according to Heritage Foundation:

His new talking point of “effective results” is intentionally vague, designed to conceal the real goal. Effective results for the Biden admin means a processing system efficient enough to allow virtually unlimited numbers of illegal migrants to enter.

But let’s forget about the fact our border will, in effect, be non-existent at midnight. Look what happened to Trump in New York!

NYC Jury Finds Trump Liable for Alleged Sexual Battery, Fines Him $5 Million in Case Where Alleged Victim Can’t Even Tell You What Year When It Happened

To the surprise of no one who’s been paying attention to our judicial system the past few years, a New York jury has found in favor of a Democrat-funded writer who claimed Trump raped her in a Manhattan department store in … well, she doesn’t know the year. Two friends testified that she told them about the alleged attack soon after. They don’t seem to know the year either … that one of the most famous men in the world attacked their friend.

Trump immediately took to Truth Social to denounce the verdict. “I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHO THIS WOMAN IS. THIS VERDICT IS A DISGRACE – A CONTINUATION OF THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME!”

Now, we weren’t there and Trump’s ways back in the ’90s do him no favors. But with a New York jury, a standard of proof far below reasonable doubt, and a lawsuit fronted and funded by the Trump-hating “Resistance,” which we learned from the Kavanaugh case is capable of any matter of deceit and manipulation and pressure, we — like non-Trump fan Byron York — have suspicions.

We wrote about it in “New York Jury Rejects Rape Allegation Against Trump, But Finds for Never Trump-Fueled Columnist Anyway.”

Biden Accuser Tara Reade Makes Spooky Comment After Being Asked to Testify

The jury in the Trump case was shown his infamous Access Hollywood tape where he stated he was so famous he could grab a woman’s privates without penalty. Ironic, since Joe Biden was accused by Tara Reade of doing that very thing, and being perplexed when she protested.

While Reade’s name is certain to be in the Twittersphere today — as in “Can she sue Biden like E. Jean Cooper did?” — the former Senate staffer was already in the news this week.

After being called by Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene and Rep. Matt Gaetz to testify about her experience with the then-Senator Biden, Reade cryptically tweeted Sunday:

“I want to make something clear. If something happens to me, all roads lead to Joe Biden. Joe Biden and DNC political machine threats, bullying and intimidation over the last three years will not work.” Added Reade, “I am not suicidal.”

Donald Trump’s CNN Town Hall is Tonight

Just one day after a New York City jury decided in favor of a columnist who accuses Donald Trump of raping her back in the 1990s, Trump is scheduled to appear on a CNN Town Hall tonight. His old nemesis, CNN.

Sure, on one level it’s like Johnny Depp reuniting with Amber Heard, but on the other it makes perfect sense. CNN needs ratings after its post-Trump nosedive and Trump needs to reach voters trained to hate him. Plus this gives CNN an opportunity to re-introduce itself as a not-so-biased network at a time when viewers of chief rival Fox News viewers are fleeing in droves.

Plus Trump gets to offer yet another contrast with Biden. While Trump is willing to face questions from its harshest media foe, Joe Biden not only refuses to answer questions from most anybody who isn’t a child, transgender or in the DNC’s pocket, he wouldn’t even let the New York Post into a White House event.

Meanwhile, in case you were wondering, former first lady Melania Trump is all in on her husband’s 2024 run. Mrs. Trump told Fox News Digital, “He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength.”

(Finally, Not to Boast or Nuthin’, But We Were Right): “We’re Back” … Tucker’s Going to Twitter

When news broke two weeks ago of Tucker Carlson’s shocking firing by Fox News, your humble town crier described the “Intriguing Possibility” that Carlson would be bringing his act to Twitter.

Why wouldn’t the two loudest voices for free speech team together? (What if he already made Carlson an offer too good to turn down?) Tucker has built a news organization before. He was co-founder of the Daily Caller, for example. And turning the most influential social media site into a news powerhouse would pose an intriguing challenge.

On Tuesday, Tucker Carlson released a video on Twitter where he declared exactly that: “Starting soon, we’ll be bringing a new version of the show we’ve been doing for the last six and a half years to Twitter.”

“We’ll be bringing some other things too, which we will tell you about, but for now we are just grateful to be here.”
