The Brew: The Raid on Mar-a-Lago and the First Law of Snake News
Happy Wednesday!
We begin by differing with those who say Monday night’s raid at Mar-a-Lago is proof we now live in a “banana republic.” No, friends, we are in a bananas republic. A bananas republic has all the despotism and criminality of a banana republic, but with a heavy dose of insanity.
What happened Monday night was insane. Even disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo hints that it was nutty move.
The Trump Raid and the First Law of Snake News
What’s the First Law of Snake News? “Whatever has the media hyperventilating over Trump will be proven false, usually within 24 hours.” So it is with the Mar-a-Lago raid, with the FBI storming the former president’s home looking for “classified” documents he took with him from the White House. Or documents which the newly-politicized National Archives says are classified. (Remember, under Biden, the National Archives thinks the Declaration, Constitution and other founding documents contain “harmful content.”)
Well, according to Kash Patel, who was Pentagon chief of staff when Trump left office, the documents in question were declassified by Trump. He told Breitbart News:
It’s information that Trump felt spoke to matters regarding everything from Russiagate to the Ukraine impeachment fiasco to major national security matters of great public importance — anything the president felt the American people had a right to know is in there and more.
Russiagate? You mean the FBI just raided Trump to get hold of documents connected to a hoax that involved the highest levels of the FBI? Can anyone say “police state?” Perhaps not coincidentally, the raid comes mere days after Judicial Watch sued the DOJ for not releasing documents that Trump had declassified pertaining to the FBI’s role in the Russian black op against Trump. And days after Sen. Chuck Grassley spoke of FBI whistleblowers detailing the political operations within the FBI to help the Bidens and harm Trump.
Ukraine impeachment? You mean that Joe Biden’s DOJ raided Trump to get hold of documents connected to the Biden Family’s shady dealings in Ukraine?
For that matter, Trump was impeached because — according to the Democrats — he used his office to get dirt on a political opponent by casually asking new Ukraine president Zelensky about what the Bidens had been up to in Ukraine. So now Joe Biden is raiding the home of his primary political opponent. An action infinitely more serious than a simple question in the middle of a casual phone call. Is that not, by the Democrats definition, an impeachable offense?
Incidentally, Paul Sperry of Real Clear Investigations had the same idea.
He tweeted:
He was promptly suspended from Twitter.
Tell me, oh “81 million” who voted for this regime: What’s the difference between this and a Latin American strongman sending his henchmen to burn down the home and offices of opposition journalists?
White House Says It Had No Idea About the Raid
The White House claims that it didn’t know about the raid in advance. Well, golly. Biden doesn’t even know he’s president, so what’s that statement even worth? Or maybe Joe was distracted by his troubled attempt to put on his own jacket.
But how fortunate for Biden that Biden’s DOJ sent Biden’s FBI agents to raid the home of Biden’s political opponent right before Biden’s political party is going to get pummeled in the mid-terms. And to criminalize for the first time a documents dispute with the National Archives?
Joe Biden would never, ever use some obscure law to criminally punish a political opponent. Oh, wait. It was his idea to use the never-before-successfully-prosecuted Logan Act to go after Trump’s National Security Advisor Gen. Michael Flynn.
And certainly, Joe Biden would never stomach the FBI doing something that would benefit him personally. Oh, wait. They deliberately lied about son Hunter’s laptop being Russian disinformation. Oh, and they raided a bunch of journalists trying to get their hands on daughter Ashley’s diary. You know, the one where she connects her father insisting they shower together when she was a little girl with her serious sexual issues?
Never forget: Biden was neck-deep in the effort to sabotage the incoming Trump administration. Just because he’s senile doesn’t mean he’s not sinister.
He can’t put on his coat. But he’s wearing the mantel of a Third World dictator.
The Judge Who Signed Off on the Warrant: Tied to Epstein Case
Perhaps you were asking yourself “What judge would sign off on something so patently political, reckless, destructive and unnecessary?” Now we know. It’s a guy who once quit his job as a prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s office in the middle of investigating Jeffrey Epstein to work for Epstein representing the child sex trafficker’s associates, including the pilot of the infamous Lolita Express.
The judge’s name is Bruce E. Reinhart.
Compromised: Bruce E Reinhart, magistrate judge for the Southern District of Florida who signed the sealed Trump search warrant executed last night, previously represented the accused in the Jeffrey Epstein case 14 years ago, defecting from his job as a state prosecutor to do so. https://t.co/zKxEREfOzy

Curiously, we have still not seen any of Epstein or Maxwell’s clients prosecuted. Those prosecutions are in the hands of Maurene Comey, daughter of former FBI Director James Comey. Yes, the FBI director when the FBI first started trying to fix elections in 2016.
Trump Not Backing Down
They probably should have left Trump alone. Does a stunt like Monday night increase or decrease Trump’s determination to run again and win? Biden raided his beloved Mar-a-Lago. Short of sniffing Ivanka’s hair, what else could Biden have done to steel Trump’s jaw?
Tuesday morning the former president released what can only be described as a campaign video.
Add Mike Huckabee to the growing list of people who think Trump should announce he’s running immediately. Read his “Raid on Trump’s Home Spells Out What We Are Dealing With.”
