The Brew: Standing Together With Israel

By Al Perrotta Published on October 9, 2023

We come into Monday with grieving hearts for those lost in Saturday’s savage assault on Israel. The number of Israelis murdered stands at over 700 β€” 260 alone at the Nova music festival. Over 100 hostages have been taken. The Jewish State has officially declared war on Iran-proxy Hamas. Will a declaration of war against Iran be next? Wall Street Journal is confirming, and Hamas is admitting, that Iran helped plan and supply the attack for weeks, with final approval from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard coming Monday night.

Americans are among those the terror group has taken hostage.

The videos on social media of the slaughter and celebration remind America after three years of gaslighting what extremism really looks like. It ain’t a gray hair in a MAGA hat.

Who is the greater danger? The people at Trump’s rally in Iowa Saturday or the pro-Palestinian protesters cheering the slaughter Sunday in New York City?

Pastor Mark Driscoll reminds us of the principalities and powers at work:

I posed the question yesterday, β€œIs the War Against Israel Coming to America?” We must be prepared for the answer to be yes, while praying for a quick, decisive resolution to the war. This will be ugly, Dr. Michael Brown warns. In β€œIsrael Under Attack” he writes, β€œThis is a time to stop and pray for the merciful intervention of God.”

So Where Was Joe?

During her 2008 presidential run Hillary Clinton ran one of the best political spots ever, stressing the importance of who answers the call at the White House at 3 a.m. when a global crisis strikes.

Seems on Saturday morning, they didn’t even bother to wake Joe Biden up. Biden began his remarks on the attack, saying, β€œWhen I got up this morning and started this at 7:30, 8 o’clock.” But the attack had begun eight hours earlier. Ron DeSantis accused him of β€œsleeping on the job.”

Actually, his whole administration was asleep. Here’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan just last week declaring the Middle East safer than it has been in decades.

The continued presence of Jake Sullivan in the role of National Security Advisor is proof positive the only ones ever held accountable by this White House are the dogs.

The Pentagon is moving the USS Gerald Ford battle group and other assets closer to Israel to offer support. Said Secretary of Defense Austin, β€œWe plan to hit Hamas with DEI training manuals and personal pronouns, if necessary.” Yeah. We made that line up. But the point is obvious. While our military has been fussing with drag queen story hours, critical race theory, and doxing masculinity, terrorist regimes have been plotting ways to massacre the innocent.

Hillary Wants Re-Education Camps for Trump Voters

Speaking of Hillary and 3 a.m., it seems she wants Trump voters dragged out of their house at 3 a.m. and forced into re-education camps. In an interview with CNN, Hillary sniffed about those supporting the former president, “At some point maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members.”

Now that her bid for the presidency has failed repeatedly, she’s trying out for Chairman Mao’s old job.

Still, we’ve seen Hillary’s idea of deprogramming. Just ask Jeffrey Epstein.

In all seriousness, this weekend proves just how vulnerable we’ve become because of the elite obsession with Trump to the exclusion of all real dangers. Dare I say cult-like obsession.

Jordan Gains Support in the Speaker’s Race

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan has been gaining strength in the race to be Speaker, especially once he got the full endorsement of former President Trump. The need to get a Speaker seated is now fraught with urgency, what with the crisis unfolding in the Middle East. As of Sunday afternoon, the plan remains for the GOP caucus to meet Tuesday to debate the two candidates, Jordan and Majority Leader Steve Scalise, and vote Wednesday. Don’t be terribly surprised if the pace is picked up.

Jordan told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo his first directive as Speaker will be β€œto help the state of Israel.” There will be some resolution on the floor to support the state of Israel.

Don’t expect there to be unanimous support on the Floor. Squad Members have been unified in trying to pin the blame for terrorists massacring innocents, raping and kidnapping Israelis (and for that matter, some Americans) on Israel.

Rep. Rashida Thaib’s statement is particularly grotesque.
