Let’s Feed Some Folks Before Putting on the Feedbag

We are a week away from Thanksgiving. I don’t know about you, but I’m already smelling the turkey and stuffing and dreaming of the blood in my veins turning to gravy. Putting on my feedbag may well strain my back. I fret a turkey coma may make me miss the Commanders taking on the Cowboys. Yet I know I’m among the blessed. I know there are those who are going hungry. Indeed, starving. And we can do something about it.

Our parent organization LIFE Outreach International’s Mission Feeding partners in Africa have sent out a special plea for help. James Robison and LOI are looking to raise a quick $200,000 to address their urgent needs. The good news is some dear friends of LOI have stepped up to say they will match any donations to Mission Feeding in this critical drive. Obviously that means we need donors for these ministry friends to match. To double the impact.

The numbers are simple:

$30 will feed 6 people.
$50 feeds 10.
$100 feeds 20.

Streamers, let’s step up to the plate before we sit down in front of our plates. Let’s help Mission Feeding feed some people.

Huh? $10 Billion for Iran?

Some things are basic in this world. You don’t tell a Swiftie that Taylor Swift is highly overrated. You don’t go setting O.J. up on a dating app. And you don’t unlock some $10 billion for a terrorist nation currently at war with you.

The nation most responsible for the carnage unleashed on Israel and subsequent explosion of anti-Semitism here and abroad — and, for that matter, the dozens of attacks on our servicemen and women in the region — is Iran. So you’d think gifting Iran right now would be the last thing the U.S. would do.

However, according to the Washington Free Beacon, the State Department confirmed that the White House “reapproved a sanctions waiver that will allow Iran to access up to $10 billion in frozen assets.”

According to the State Department, “this waiver continues to be necessary, to provide space and time for the government of Iraq to implement [Iraqi prime minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani’s] energy reform agenda.” Iraq depends heavily on Iranian oil. Golly, if only the U.S. had the ability to drill for and produce oil to help wean Iraq off Iranian black gold.

Former White House National Security Counsel member Richard Goldberg isn’t buying what State is selling. “This waiver isn’t about Iraq importing electricity or gas. It’s about Iran getting access to the cash.” He’s calling on Congress to “act quickly to cut off Iran’s access to every penny.”

Rapino Misses Wide Again … This Time With God. Former NFL Quarterback Responds

Woke women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe put her cleat in her mouth again. Let’s set the stage. Rapinoe was playing her final match in her illustrious (and controversial) career. Only six minutes in, Rapinoe tore her Achilles tendon.

Love her or hate her, Rapinoe was a great athlete and we take no pleasure in her suffering a serious injury in her last game. Missing a penalty kick to seal doom for the U.S. Women’s team at the World Cup after being more concerned with woke politics than soccer? Forgive us, Lord, that was the guilty pleasure. But an injury? No. And we pray for a quick and full healing.

Afterward, though, Rapinoe responded to being injured in her big finale. “I’m not a religious person or anything and if there was a God, like, this is proof that there isn’t.” (A smart aleck might respond, “That blown World Cup penalty kick might well be proof that there is a God.”) However, former NFL quarterback Devlin Hodges took a more affirmative, Christ-like, approach.

“Wow,” Hodges posted on X, “For those seeing (Rapinoe’s comments), just know there is a God and he has wonderful plans for those that believe in Him!”
