Columbia Cancels Graduation Commencement. Is It An Opportunity for Non-Woke Universities?

Columbia University has canceled its traditional university-wide graduation commencement ceremony in fear of anti-Israeli demonstrators. Adding to the sting is the fact that administrators announced the capitulation — I mean, cancellation — on Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Making matters even worse, these graduating seniors are the same class that was denied high school graduation ceremonies because of COVID. These poor kids have been given the shaft.

It would be nice if some university down south that didn’t put up with these protests offered non-protesting Columbia seniors the chance to walk across the stage with their peers. You’ve heard of the “Walk Away” movement? Why not the “Walk With Us” movement? (Are you listening University of Florida? Ol’ Miss? Seniors who want to make a statement? HINT TO ADMINISTRATORS: It’d also be a good recruitment device for drawing top students from the north.)

You wouldn’t want to bring any of the crazies onto campus, though. For example, take this self-described “nonbinary queer person” who says she fears “Christian men” more than actually living in Palestine.

Before we say, “No one’s stopping you,” we need to pray that the indoctrination brainwashing is broken off this confused soul.

But bad news for this “nonbinary” lady: If she goes to England, she’s going to have to choose a sex when going to the loo.

UK Rejects “Gender Neutral” Bathrooms, Insists All New Builds Come With Separate Loos for Men and Women

All new commercial buildings built in the United Kingdom must have separate bathroom facilities for men and women, the British government announced. If that is not possible because of space, single, self-contained ‘unisex’ toilets will be okay. Breitbart reports the decision to recognize biological reality comes after a long debate over gender-neutral mixed bathrooms. The Brits say having the separate facilities will help protect “safety, privacy, and dignity” of women and men.

A child transgender advocacy group called Mermaids fought against the proposal last year.

In order to ensure everyone is served fairly and that everyone can feel comfortable using public toilet facilities, not only are gender-specific facilities in which trans people can feel safe in using vital, but gender-neutral facilities are also greatly necessary to ensure non-binary people’s experiences with toilet facilities are one of comfort.

Author J.K. Rowling, in classic fashion, destroyed that trans safety argument, saying:

Never forget: it’s far too unsafe for trans women to use men’s bathrooms/changing rooms, because they might get assaulted.

However, it’s completely fine for any man who identifies as a woman to use women’s bathrooms/changing rooms, because rapists will rape women anyway.

Since we’re on the topic and already on the other side of the pond …

Bull’s-Eye! Female British Dart Player Forfeits Rather Than Compete Against Trans Opponent

At the recent Denmark Open, British dart player Deta Hedman forfeited her quarter-round match rather than compete against a transgender opponent.

A journalist claimed Hedman faked an illness to withdraw. Wrong. Hedman — a three-time WDF World Championship runner-up — declared she “wouldn’t play a man in a ladies’ event.”

Breitbart reports that just before heading to Denmark, Hedman posted an image on Facebook containing the message, “Women & Girls deserve to be CHAMPIONS in their own sports.”

The dart champ has a point.

Meanwhile, at the Liberty League Championship track meet Saturday in Troy, New York, a biological male won three women’s events. Sadie Schreiner of Rochester Institute of Technology, who identifies as female, won the gold in the 400- and 200-meter races, and powered RIT to victory in the 4×400 relay. In the process, Schreiner broke the women’s school record in the 400 and 200 — thus erasing the accomplishments of actual females. And Schreiner’s times? According to Fox News, they would have placed him last in the men’s races.

A Horror in a House of God Averted by the Hand of God

“God jammed the gun.” So says a Pennsylvania pastor who narrowly escaped death during services Sunday morning.

A gunman approached Rev. Glenn Germany of Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock as he preached, pointed the weapon, and smiled. As Rev. Germany dove for cover behind the pulpit, the suspect pulled the trigger from point-blank range.

The gun jammed. Another man ran up and tackled the suspect — identified as Bernard Polite, 26 — as he ascended the altar to continue his attack. Rev. Germany and others quickly joined to subdue him.

Germany says he’d never seen Polite before, but the suspect told him he was “possessed by spirits.”

According to the criminal complaint, police say Polite told them, “God told him to do it,” and that he wanted to kill Rev. Germany to go to prison and “clear his mind.”

Sadly, when police searched Polite’s home, they found a man shot dead.

Germany calls it a “miracle” he was spared, telling WTAE, “I’m thankful to God that I’m still here because he definitely pulled the trigger.”
