The Brew: Freedom, Captivity and a Call to Biblical Manliness
Happy Tuesday!
This Brew opens with a baffling one.
Why Did DOJ Erase βInternational Sex Trafficking of Minorsβ From Its Website?
As Sound of Freedom brings the horrors of child sex trafficking to light, itβs hard not to think some people are happy to keep it in the darkness.
Natalie Winters over at WarRoom has uncovered a mystery both vexing and disturbing. Seems the Justice Department in May erased large sections from its page on Child Sex Trafficking. Gone are whole sections on βInternational Sex Trafficking of Minors,β βDomestic Sex Trafficking of Minors,β and βChild Victims of Prostitution.β
Even the section that does remain, titled “Child Sex Trafficking,” lost a paragraph:
After cultivating a relationship with the child and engendering a false sense of trust, the trafficker will begin engaging the child in prostitution, and use physical, emotional, and psychological abuse to keep the child trapped in a life of prostitution. It is common for traffickers to isolate victims by moving them far away from friends and family, altering their physical appearances, or continuously moving them to new locations. Victims are heavily conditioned to remain loyal to the trafficker and to distrust law enforcement.
You can see the pre-change and post-change versions in her article.
Why would the DOJ cut back emphasis on sex trafficking of minors and child prostitution? Of all the things to cut from a DOJ website …
Not the First Time Administration Has Showed a Curious Lack of Interest
It could be tempting to dismiss this as a bureaucratic pruning of verbiage, rather than a cutting back on action against the trafficking of minors. However in May, Customs and Border Patrol announced the end of familial DNA testing on children brought to the border. Numbers USA, an advocate for controlled borders said at the time, βNot only has familial DNA testing been a vital aspect in preventing the fraudulent entry of thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens, but it has also acted as a crucial roadblock in the fight against child trafficking.β (Emphasis ours.)
Indeed, the Washington Examiner reports that an anonymous official involved in the program roll-out claims:
In a pilot program, approximately 30% of rapid DNA tests of immigrant adults who were suspected of arriving at the southern border with children who weren’t theirs revealed the adults were not related to the children.
According to NumbersUSA, a government accountability report put the percentage at closer to 10% of the children tested were βnot related to the illegal aliens they were with, despite the aliens claims.β
Also, in February, the New York Times reported HHS βcould not reachβ some 85,000 children who had been brought across the border illegally.

We pray for the safety of those children … and all those being shipped across our border.

Jason Whitlock on Why Critics Donβt Like Sound of Freedom: βIt Reminds Men to Eschew Cowardiceβ
Critics from the Washington Post, Rolling Stone, Guardian and elsewhere have been mocking Sound of Freedom. Jason Whitlock at The Blaze observes:
The same people uprooting thousands of years of gender ideology to accommodate a tiny group of gender-dysphoric, mentally ill people strive to minimize the impact of a $150-billion-a-year industry predicated on enslaving kids.
And itβs not the filmmakers or the audiences embracing the film that are truly the ones being mocked. βItβs important for defenders of the film to recognize who is being mocked. Itβs God, the Most High, Jesus. Itβs not you, or QAnon, or Tim Ballard, or Jim Caviezel.”

Why?
Sound of Freedom β¦ promotes an understanding of how God wants man to behave in the earthly realm. That message is the real hazard to Satan. Sound of Freedom models biblical masculinity. It depicts manβs ability to effectuate good when plugged into the proper power source β faith in, reverence for, and obedience to God.
Concludes the wise Mr. Whitlock:
In service to God, courageous men risk their lives for others. Men are supposed to be courageous. The enemy wants us to remain comfortable as cowards.
Soccer Star Megan Rapinoe Says Sheβd Support a Trans Athlete Being on the U.S. Womenβs National Team
Soccer star Megan Rapinoe says she supports trans athletes being on the U.S. Womenβs National Team. And donβt talk to her about how a biological male would be taking the place of a real woman. She told Time magazine:
“Youβre taking a ‘real’ womanβs place,” thatβs the part of the argument thatβs still extremely transphobic. I see trans women as real women. What youβre saying automatically in the argument β youβre sort of telling on yourself already β is you donβt believe these people are women. Therefore, theyβre taking the other spot. I donβt feel that way.
The soccer great also dismissed the idea that trans athletes are posing a problem: βShow me all the trans people who are nefariously taking advantage of being trans in sports. Itβs just not happening.”
Does the name Lia Thomas mean anything? Does the testimony of female athletes cheated out of victories β¦ and in some cases seriously injured by biological male opponents β¦ mean nothing?
By the way, this is the same Megan Rapinoe who went to war over women getting paid less than men in soccer. And now sheβs fine with men taken the place of women on the womenβs team, so some women donβt get paid at all?
Loose Lips Sink Ships
Joe Biden is getting heat for blurting out crucial military information during an interview on CNN. Biden tried to explain why heβs sending cluster bombs to Ukraine. (When only last year, his administration was calling the use of cluster bombs a βwar crime.β) His answer? Weβre running low on ammo. Not exactly info you should be sharing with our enemies. Hereβs his exact quote:
This is a war relating to munitions. And theyβre running out of that ammunition, and weβre low on it. And so, what I finally did, I took the recommendation of the Defense Department to β not permanently β but to allow for this transition period while we get more 155 weapons, these shells, for the Ukrainians.
Leave it to Stream friend Mike Huckabee to make one pointed observation.
Biden admitted to the world that the US is running low on ammunition. Maybe he shouldn’t have left billions of dollars worth to the Taliban when he screwed up the Afghanistan exit.
