The Brew: Florida Man Needs Our Prayers
Al Perrotta is on vacation.
The people in Florida are suffering now from an Act of Climate. That’s the new term approved by the Ministry of Truth (MiniTruth) for any natural phenomenon. We must now attribute such happenings not to the permissive will of God, the after-effects of the Fall, or even the chaos inherent to Nature as part of contingent Becoming rather than Being (Augustine’s explanation).
Nope. Every untoward natural occurrence must now be credited to the Climate, and blamed on human action. This way the pain and death afflicting citizens won’t be wasted, but recycled — transformed into energy for greater elite control over ordinary people. People drowning or losing their houses today can be harnessed to freeze and starve people tomorrow, as they wait in vain for windmills to turn so they can recharge their vehicles and homes.
Pray for Florida
But seriously, people. Pray for your fellow Americans in Florida, and don’t be stingy about contributing to relief efforts, via Christian groups like our parent organization Life Outreach International, which is targeting aid toward victims of Hurricane Ian. In your own prayers, include Stream writers and readers who live in that state.
Voters? We Don’t Need No Stinking Voters
Media outlets that in 2020 predicted mass death in Florida because of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ sanity-based COVID policies are now warning of fascism in Italy. That’s right, as Western Journal notes, observers are
framing the election of the woman poised to be the next Italian prime minister as a far-right fascist returning Italy to the days of Benito Mussolini.
But much of Giorgia Meloni’s platform reads like common sense nationalism. Less rampant, unchecked immigration, more personal freedoms and a “eurosceptic” approach to Italy’s relationship with the European Union are all aspects of Meloni’s “far-right” vision, according to Time magazine.
Leftists fear Meloni for the same reason they’ve feared Donald Trump since he entered politics and now fear Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. These leaders are all willing to tell the truth — no holds barred.
A clip of the speech shared by conservative influencer Greg Price boasts a whopping 50,000 retweets and 132,000 likes. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas shared the clip on Sunday with the caption “spectacular.”
This is Italy’s new Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
I’ve never heard any politician so perfectly explain what we’re up against and why we fight.
When you watch this video, you’ll quickly realize why the establishment is afraid of her.

Don’t miss Tucker Carlson’s take on the rise of a politician who was schooled, in part, by the great American freedom activist Steve Bannon:
Of course, global elites are having a meltdown over the fact that voters have any real say at all in how their countries are governed. That should be left to the “experts,” who roam the world seeking the ruin of souls. Oops! I meant to write “jet around the world in private planes lecturing citizens on why they must curb their consumption.” (Dang typos … when is Al coming back, again?)
Don’t Question the Feds
We have plenty of home-grown, all-American tyrants right here, of course. Plenty sit in Congress. Today’s Despot of the Day? Representative Mondaire Jones (D-N.Y.), who is defending provocateur Ray Epps. He’s the guy who was screaming on January 6 for other people to go storm the U.S. Capitol, while genuine protestors loudly denounced him as “a Fed.” Was he a fed? Rep. Jones doesn’t want anyone to know. He wants to exempt Epp from scrutiny by J6 defense attorneys. So the indispensable journalist Julie Kelly reports at American Greatness:
Epps is one of many instigators caught on film who somehow still manages to evade brutal FBI raids and bogus charges just as the Justice Department closes in on 1,000 total January 6 defendants with new arrests announced each week. And prosecutors are attempting to conceal information about other individuals tied to the events of that day — FBI informants embedded in the Oath Keepers, the so-called militia group accused of attempting to overthrow the government on January 6.
In a last-minute motion filed by prosecutors last week, six days shy of the start of the Oath Keepers first trial, the Justice Department asked D.C. District Court Judge Amit Mehta for a protective order to prevent defense attorneys from asking questions about the role of several “confidential human sources,” i.e., informants, “who were either involved in the investigation that led to prosecution of the defendants, or who became CHSes subsequent to the initiation of the instant investigation.” (This suggests the FBI ran informants into the group prior to January 6.)
Prosecutors say the defense attorneys representing five Oath Keepers charged with seditious conspiracy and other offenses should be prohibited from asking any FBI informant for personal identifying information or about their participation in past or pending investigations.
The January 6 committee is so on the up and up, and the FBI was so far from being to blame for the chaos that day, that it’s un-American even to question people about it. We’ll just have to take it on faith.
Embrace the Cooties
Also at American Greatness, the same kind of “public health experts” whose advice is keeping 40% of black kids in Washington, D.C., out of school, because they aren’t vaccinated against COVID (which doesn’t threaten them) aren’t always in favor of excluding people. They are at least taking a stand on behalf of kids with the cooties. The real thing, head lice, that is:
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) now recommends against sending children infested with head lice home from school because doing so may “stigmatize” them, “violate their civil rights,” and/or cause “psychological stress.”
According to the new guidance, lice infestations are neither a health hazard nor a sign of poor hygiene, and “no-nit” school policies may stigmatize children suspected of having head lice, resulting in “psychological stress.”
The updated guidance states that “no healthy child or adolescent should be excluded from school” because of head lice or nits.
Aren’t you curious what that same Academy has to say about promoting gender dysphoria to kids?
American Infamy?
In other engineered chaos, it’s looking more and more likely that the U.S. was behind the environmental disaster that is the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines from Russia to Europe. As the brilliant commentator Pedro Gonzalez notes at must-read magazine Chronicles:
[T]he destruction of Nord Stream 1 and 2 occurred the day before Poland and Norway opened a new natural gas pipeline, Baltic Pipe, through Denmark. That may lead some to speculate that the Poles—or another vassal of Washington—may have played a part in sabotaging the Russian energy project, either with U.S. approval, or knowing that the U.S. would likely be suspected, given the Biden administration’s statements.
Whatever the case, whether the pipeline sabotage originated in the White House, Brussels, London, Warsaw, or Kiev, the leaders of the West appear to have consigned millions of their own people to misery in a Pyrrhic victory as an icy winter nears. Irish economist Philip Pilkington commented that with the destruction of these pipelines, Europe is likely to see permanently high energy prices, meaning “European manufacturing will no longer be economically viable.” Pilkington added that ensuing economic chaos might well lead to a repeat of the Depression of the 1920s — which in turn led to world war.
It seems that President Brandon really does want to go down in the history books for accomplishing something … anything.
FBI ‘Terrorism’?
The FBI didn’t find a pretext to shoot down Mark Houck or his children, thanks be to God. But Biden’s Department of Justice is still trying to imprison him for a minor altercation with a profane abortion enthusiast outside an abortion mill. The Thomas More Society is fighting back, for Houck’s First Amendment rights. Thomas More Society Vice President and Senior Counsel Peter Breen says:
“This case is being brought solely to intimidate people of faith and prolife Americans. Mark Houck is innocent of these lawless charges, and we intend to prove that in court.”
In June 2022, Thomas More Society attorneys notified the Biden Department of Justice that caselaw in the same district had held that the FACE Act does not cover one-off altercations like the one involving Houck, which was initiated by the abortion proponent who was harassing Houck’s son.
The Department of Justice was also advised that if the decision was made to bring a charge against Houck despite lack of legal foundation, Houck would appear voluntarily. “Rather than accepting Mark Houck’s offer to appear voluntarily, the Biden Department of Justice chose to make a show of potentially deadly force, sending twenty heavily armed federal agents to the Houck residence at dawn this past Friday,” explained Breen.
