The Brew: Disney Turns 100 … as a New Conservative Rival Prepares to Debut
Happy Tuesday!
And we start out with one for the kiddies and all who believe in family-friendly programming!
Welcome Bentkey: Daily Wire Launches New Streaming Entertainment Channel for Kids β¦ on 100th Anniversary of Disney
Yesterday marked the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Walt Disney Company, which for nearly a century set the bar for family entertainment and childrenβs programming. But in recent years, Disney has traded greatness for grooming, a Wonderful World for wokeness. It has even taken to wrecking its own classics like Snow White. Disney enters its second century in the dumps.
And, apparently, facing new competition. On Disneyβs Centennial, the Daily Wire revealed itβs launching a new subscription streaming app for kids called Bentkey. Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing says Bentkey captures “childhood and wonder and adventure.” The app is “about values and all of the things on which politics are built later.” It’ll launch on Monday.
According to Axios, Bentkey will debut with 4 original and 14 licensed shows, including: Chip Chilla, an animated original series about a family of homeschooled chinchillas; Tish Tash, an animated series about a young girl and her imaginary friend; Kid Fit Go, an original series about having fun while exercising, Jasmine & Jambo, an animated musical series.
1st Amendment? What 1st Amendment? Judge Gags Trump From Criticizing the Man Whoβs Trying to Lock Him Away for Life
The same Obama judge that trash talked Donald Trump during the J6 trials is banning Trump from trashing her and the man trying to lock him away for life. U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan has barred Trump from βpublicly targetingβ Special Counsel Jack Smith, the judge herself, staff, families β¦ or commenting on any of the βpotential witnessesβ that may be brought against him. Oh, Trump βcan argue that this prosecution is politically motivated,β but donβt dare call Smith a βthug.β
Trumpβs lawyer John Lauro is already promising an appeal.

A Trump spokesperson called the decision β”an absolute abomination and another partisan knife stuck in the heart of our Democracy by Crooked Joe Biden, who was granted the right to muzzle his political opponent.β Youβd expect the Trump team to say that. But journalist Mollie Hemingway was equally aghast:
Terrifying, republic-destroying attack on free elections, freedom of speech as judge prohibits leading GOP contender from talking about the corruption of his government opponents, or criticizing the government that seeks to imprison him for political differences.

As a refresher, this is the case where Bidenβs Justice Department is trying to throw Trump in jail for challenging Bidenβs election β¦ as part of the effort to stop Trump from beating Biden in the next election.
Yeah, this is all bananas republic nonsense. This does no favors to the Constitution, free speech or democratic government. However, if this ruling means Trump on the campaign trail will have to talk less about his case and more about the issues, the failures of the Biden presidency and what heβll do when back in office, didnβt the judge kinda do Trump a favor?
Former CIA Director Non-Apologetic About Interfering in the 2020 Election
With all going on with Israel, this slipped under the radar. Former CIA Director Leon Panetta was asked by Fox Newsβ Brett Baier if he regretted signing onto the infamous letter from 51 high level intel officials falsely claiming that Hunter Bidenβs laptop was Russian misinformation. Especially now that it has been proven legit. Panetta said he βhad no regrets.β In fact, he doubled down on the lie. βI think disinformation is involved here.β
More laughable: βFrankly, I havenβt seen any evidence from any intelligence agency that that was not the case.β Well, Iβve seen no evidence that shows you havenβt beaten your wife. (For the record, Director of National Intelligence John Radcliffe insisted at the time the U.S. had zero evidence of Russian involvement in the laptop.)
From Jonathan Turley:
What is striking is that Panetta cannot cite any basis to believe that it was Russian disinformation. The laptop details an influence peddling scheme by a family that has long been known for such corruption. More importantly, there was not a single fact cited in the letter (or now years later) that supported this claim. It was simply embarrassing to the Bidens before a close presidential election.
However, in order to admit to these facts, Panetta would have had to admit that he was a willing or unwitting dupe of the campaign.
Turleyβs being kind. Panetta would have to admit to helping fix an American election.
Cardinal Offers Himself in Exchange for Child Hostages
Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, has offered to trade himself for the children being held hostage by Hamas.
Speaking to journalists via video conference, Cardinal Pizzaballa said, “I am ready for an exchange, anything, if this can lead to freedom, to bring the children home. No problem. There is total willingness on my part. The first thing to do is to try to win the release of the hostages, otherwise there will be no way of stopping (an escalation). We are willing to help, even me personally.” He was quick to acknowledge that there has been no contact with Hamas about his offer.
The Hamas terrorists are confirmed to be holding at least 199 people.

Pro-Palestinian Protesters Storm Gates of White House
Pro-Palestinian protesters stormed the gates of the White House Monday. Their aim? To βShut down the White House.β More than 30 people were arrested, according to a Secret Service spokesperson. No doubt, they will be held in solitary confinement for well over a year for trying to overtake the home of the president and interfere with government business. (Pause.) Yeah, I donβt think so either.
Meanwhile, in Brussels, two Swiss tourists were shot to death by an Islamist screaming βAllahu Akbar!β Belgium has raised its terror alert to the highest threat level. As of 6:00 p.m. Eastern, the terrorist remains on the loose. But he did drop a video message claiming responsibility for the murders.
Clemson Students are Protesting What?!
If weβre talking about protests, we would be remiss if we didnβt mention an event at Clemson University the other day. Around 50 students gathered to protest the removal of tampons from menβs library bathrooms. Yeah. Tampons. Menβs Rooms. Protest.
The protesters carried colorful signs like, βDestigmatize Menstruationβ and βHello, Itβs the 21st Century.β
According to Not The Bee, the tampon dispensers were removed after Clemson College Republicans raised a stink.
If you werenβt aware already, Clemson University has tampon/pad dispensers in the MENβS restrooms located in Cooper Library.
