The Brew: Biden’s Hot Corvette and Hot Water
Happy Friday the 13th! There’s a name for people who have an irrational fear of the number 13: “triskaidekaphobia.” There’s also a name for people who have an irrational fear of Fridays: “workaholics.” Or, “people with no social life.” For the rest of us, TGIF!
Biden Finally Gets a Special Counsel … a Former Aide to Hapless FBI Director Wray
A special counsel has been appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to take over the investigation of the classified documents Joe Biden was stashing all over the place. (But not all the foreign money Biden, Inc., has been stashing away?)
The special counsel is Robert K. Hur. A former U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland, Hur had been special assistant and counsel to FBI Director Christopher Wray when Wray was Assistant Attorney General in charge of DOJ’s Criminal Division.
The fact that he worked for Wray, who has done nothing to root out the corruption in the FBI or DOJ, and feigns ignorance when the questions grow tough, doesn’t exactly instill confidence.
And check out what Hur currently does. According to his bio, he’s the co-chair of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Crisis Management Practice Group. His expertise is used to “guide companies and individuals facing white-collar criminal matters, regulatory proceedings and enforcement actions, internal investigations, and related civil litigation.”
In other words, Bob Hur is the guy you bring in when you are a big shot in trouble and want to get out of it. Not the guy you bring in when you want to investigate and expose wrongdoing.
The appointment of a special counsel, however suspicious, comes as the Former Joe Biden made a remarkable … even hilarious … admission.
Biden Classified Docs Found in His Garage Near His Beloved Corvette
You know that place where folks store Christmas ornaments and old softball mitts and I hear some people actually put cars? You know, the garage? Well, that’s where Joe Biden stashed highly classified documents. In his Wilmington garage. Right next to his prized Corvette. “What were you thinking?” asked Peter Doocy.
The response from Biden? Classic: “My Corvette’s in a locked garage, okay? So it’s not like they’re sitting out in the street.”
DOOCY: "Classified materials, next to your Corvette? What were you thinking?"
BIDEN: "My Corvette's in a locked garage, okay? So it's not like they're sitting out on the street." pic.twitter.com/w3D7THLxah
— Townhall.com (@townhallcom) January 12, 2023
Legal scholar Jonathan Turley wasn’t impressed, writing in a Fox News op-ed, “The fact is that the argument that you protected classified documents as carefully as your Corvette will not cut it with the criminal code.”
Epic summary from Charlie Spiering.
Biden went from "people know I take classified documents seriously" to "It's not like they're sitting out in the street…"

The White House released a statement earlier Thursday that after Biden’s lawyers discovered documents at his Chinese-funded Penn Biden office in D.C., they conducted a search of Biden’s assorted residences. More classified documents were found at his Wilmington home. All but one in the garage, and one in a private library. They say the other homes came up clean. Of course, the document mishandling was totally inadvertent.
Naturally, the White House says it is cooperating fully with the DOJ. This may not really be the case, at least according to Paul Sperry.
BREAKING: Biden and his personal lawyers engaged in "rolling disclosures" to FBI agents regarding classified documents kept at various unsecured locations, which led US Attorney to recommend the appointment of a special counsel, according to people familiar with the investigation

Biden Kept News of the Classified Document Discoveries Away From You … AND Top WH Officials
Further, it appears Biden wasn’t only keeping America in the dark about the discoveries for two months. Senior White House officials were also out of the loop. CNN reports on the frustration of officials who had no idea the scandal was taking dead aim, and anxiety of what else may be revealed.
It must be repeated that the White House has steadfastly refused to reveal who has visited Biden during his very frequent trips to Wilmington. (Remember, Biden in 2022 spent 40% of his time at his Wilmington home, beach house, Camp David or on vacation.)
We have literally no idea who has been in Biden’s Wilmington home or could have had access to those documents he kept in his garage for the past six years. Heck, in 2020 a Biden campaign ad shows Joe backing into his garage, boxes clearly visible.

Are those the documents? pic.twitter.com/SvLJovxDh5

Actually, We Know One Shady Character Who Had Access
It gets even stickier. In 2018, Hunter Biden claimed he owned the house the classified documents were in. And we know the kind of lowlifes and foreign agents Hunter hung out with. Indeed, Real Clear Investigations recalled how Joe Biden was on Jay Leno’s Garage in 2018 boasting about how Hunter helped restore the Corvette in question.
We must know: Did any of the documents found at the house have any connection to the countries Hunter was doing his illicit business with? The New York Times reported this week that the DOJ is close to deciding whether to charge Hunter with any crimes — with the word being that even if they do, it’ll only be for incidental tax issues or perhaps lying on the form when applying for a gun license. I suspect they’ll look awfully bad if they do refuse to charge or only charge Hunter with ticky-tack fouls, given the exploding scandal.
Incidentally, here’s Biden’s full statement.
"They discovered a small number of documents of classified markings in storage areas and file cabinets in my home."

Quick question: If he can’t read a statement about stuff in his own garage, how can he read and comprehend national security briefings?
Had to Go There
On a brighter note, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declared, “The president does not support banning gas stoves.” And if anyone knows about gas, it’d be Biden. Just ask the Queen Consort Camilla. … Oh, c’mon. It’s Friday.

J6 Surveillance Videos and Witness Testimony
Finally, we’ll learn what Pelosi was hiding. New Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced Thursday he will be releasing all the security footage from January 6. So far, we’ve only gotten mostly what Pelosi and the Trump hunters wanted you to see, along with a few leaks.
Perhaps we’ll get further video confirmation of what J6 witness Taylor Hansen is saying. That violence didn’t break out until Capitol Hill police began firing canisters and rubber bullets into the peaceful crowd. More poignantly, Hansen was next to Ashli Babbitt when she was gunned down. What he says happened is far from the tale American people have been told. His J6 thread from last week’s anniversary is a must.
Three years ago at 2:44PM, I watched an unarmed woman (Ashli Babbitt)— get shot and killed in front of me.
This single handily changed my life forever. Even though it’s been three years, it feels like it was just yesterday. The J6th committee refused to speak with me.

Meanwhile, journalist Julie Kelly … one of the scant journalists who actually is reporting on what happened January 6, rather than serving as PR people for the Democrats … caught a biggie in testimony this week in one of the J6 trials. Again, fascinating reading.
This could be the most crucial testimony given during trial or any "investigation" into Jan 6.

We must continue to pray mightily that the truth about that day is exposed.
And speaking of truth about J6 …
A Most Vile and Disgusting Lie
Last Friday, while marking the J6 anniversary, Joe Biden spewed a most contemptible lie. He said that Capitol Hill Police Officer William Evans died as a result of “threats from these sick insurrectionists.”
Joe Biden just said that Capitol Police Officer William Evans died as a result of "threats by these sick insurrectionists."
Officers Evans was killed by a black Nation of Islam supporter who rammed him with a car. pic.twitter.com/5FIb6tIOtz

Now, we know not a single officer died on January 6 because of the riot, despite Democratic leaders and media figures repeating claiming five officers were killed. That’s a grotesque enough lie. Another Charlottesville Hoax.
This is worse. Officer Evans was killed as the result of an Islamist terror attack a full three months after J6. A Nation of Islam member named Noah Green rammed into Evans into a barricade before charging at other officers with a knife. That sound like a MAGA-guy to you?
To take Officer Evans’ murder by an Islamist and dump it on those who had protested Biden’s dubious election, is about as low as one can go.
Then again, Biden also insisted the J6 riots took place on “July the 6th.” So perhaps he’s not the contemptible one, but whoever’s writing his speeches.
