The Brew: Biden Says the ‘Lord Almighty’ Will Have to Tell Him to Leave the Race

Happy Monday!

It’s sunrise, and Joe Biden is still the Democratic nominee for president. But his chances of staying that way did not brighten over the weekend. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries met with Democratic House leadership Sunday to discuss the Biden situation as increasing numbers of his party members in the federal government are calling for the Big Guy to bail. Even a senior White House official is telling the New York Post it’s time to go. (Anonymously, of course.)

On the other side of the line, ABC News’ Martha Raddatz reports that Jill Biden is “lashing out at those who want him to get out of the race.”

Joe Biden: The “Lord Almighty” Would Have to Tell Him to Get Out of the Race

On Friday night, Joe Biden insisted he’s fit, perfectly capable of serving another four years, and that it’d take the Creator of the Universe Himself to convince him otherwise. “If the Lord Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe get out of the race,’ I’d get out of the race. But the Lord Almighty is not coming down.”

OK. Then what about someone who thinks he’s God … like Barack Obama?

Seriously, while Biden is looking for a divine sign, Axios reports that “outside [of his] protective bubble, a fast-growing number of Democrats are praying for — and plotting — a more earthly intervention. They want everyone from Obama to congressional leaders to beg Biden to bail out by this Friday.”

Biden’s interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos was supposed to soothe Democrat fears and show that his horrendous June 28 presidential debate performance was just a “bad night.” It didn’t quite work that way. (But it was a nice advertisement for orange spray tan.)

You could pick the whole interview apart like a Costco rotisserie chicken, but here are a couple of quick takeaways:

Biden rejected the idea of taking a cognitive test. He claimed he takes that test every day just by doing his job. (Maybe … but the only way he passes that test is on a very, very, very skewed bell curve.)

Behind the answer you find the real problem: Biden’s arrogance. Stephanopoulos, in his many efforts to get a straight answer from the president, pointed out that taking the test would be a way to calm the fears of concerned voters. But Biden showed no interest in soothing the voting public. Polls showing him with historically low approval ratings are fakes, he claimed. The only people pushing the “Joe’s ill narrative” are “the media,” he claimed.  Joe Biden is “running the world” and is the best person to keep doing it, he claimed. He’s the same as he was three and a half years ago, he claimed. (This one could be partially true — we believe there have been puppet masters running this show since Day 1. It’s just that it’s way more obvious now as his decline accelerates that this was the case all along.)

Remember, he claims to be running the world, but for the last three and a half years, he has told reporters that he can’t answer their simple press-pool questions because “I’ll get in trouble.” He’s so on top of his game that at a rally in Wisconsin last Friday, he assured supporters he’ll “beat Trump again in 2020” and a Philly radio host that he’s the “first black woman to serve with a black president” the day before that.

And at predominantly black church in Philadelphia Sunday, Biden appeared to get lost when the pastor said, “Let us stand together.”

Snubbing a Black Woman: A Moment That Will Haunt the Biden Campaign

Despite his appearance at Philadelphia’s Mount Airy Church of God in Christ church yesterday, Biden also managed this weekend to undermine his “Trump is a white supremacist-loving racist” shtick and remind people of his own troubled history with black voters.

As Biden continues to lose support among that demographic, and Trump’s support among people of color is rising to levels a Republican hasn’t seen since the Eisenhower “We Like Ike!” administration, the last thing Biden needs is a public moment that appears to be awfully racist.

That moment came Friday.

Biden was greeting a line of people in Wisconsin, including a lot of white folks and an adorable, eager, cherub-cheeked young black girl. Biden posed for selfies with each of the white people, and then started to move along. The young girl’s face lit up, as she was expecting a selfie or a hug or some other kind of acknowledgement from the president … anything. Joe stepped right past her for the next selfie with a middle-aged white woman. The poor young girl was crushed. The look of awkwardness and rejection on her face was obvious. She even touched the president’s arm to get his attention as he was chatting up the white woman standing inches away — and still there got nothing as the president continued down the line.

That image right there will be hung on Biden for however long he remains in the race. This girl’s face speaks for all black people who feel overlooked by his administration’s preference for white liberals, illegal immigrants, and Ukrainians.

Top Neurologist Has Visited the White House 10 Times Since 2023

While Biden told Stephanopoulos he hasn’t taken cognitive tests while in office (and has no need to do so), the New York Post broke the news that a top Washington neurologist has met with White House physician Dr. Kevin Cannard, a Parkinson’s disease specialist at Walter Reed Medical Center has visited the White House 10 times since November 15, 2022. (And who knows how many times in Delaware.) Last week, Biden also received a visit from Walter Reed cardiologist Dr. John Atwood.

According to Cannard’s LinkedIn profile, he is the “neurology specialist supporting the White House Medical Unit.”

The White House says the visits by a neurology expert have nothing to do with a president who is showing evidence of neurological issues, telling the Washington Examiner, “A wide variety of specialists from the Walter Reed system visit the White House complex to treat the thousands of military personnel who work on the grounds.”

Do you buy that?

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the House Oversight Committee revealed that Cannard was involved in the shady AmeriCore health company deal with the Biden family. Committee chairman James Comer wants to bring Cannard in to testify in order to discover whether his business involvement with the Bidens has impacted his medical assessments of the president. He also wants to grill the doctor about Biden’s mental state.

Use the DOJ to Publish Political Enemies?

Maybe Dr. Cannard should pay a house call to Kamala Harris, too. She actually said this over the weekend:
