The Brew: Abortion Pill Kills Georgia Woman, Harris Blames Pro-Life Law

Happy Thursday!

Today’s Brew opens with a mind-boggling display of gaslighting.

Georgia Woman Dies of Side Effects of Chemical Abortion; Harris and Media Claim Georgia Pro-Life Law Killed Her

These people give pond scum a bad name.

A Georgia woman who tragically died from the side effects of a chemical abortion is now being used by Kamala Harris and her media allies to attack Georgia’s pro-life law.

You read that right. Killed by an abortion, then used to promote abortion.

Harris and friends are telling us that Amber Nicole Thurman died from β€œdelayed” reproductive care because Georgia’s new pro-life law outlaws “life-saving” surgical procedures on women experiencing a miscarriage.

Put aside the fact the Georgia law explicitly calls for protecting the life of a mother. Or that Thurman was immediately treated in the ER when her problems began. Set aside even the fact that Thurman right now could be running around with her three other children.

The fact is, Amber Nicole Thurman was not having a miscarriage. She was suffering from an infection caused by the chemical abortion she’d had β€” and the lack of post-procedural care from her abortionist. As Not-the-Bee summarizes:

As a result of the abortion pill, contents were left in her uterus and she got an infection. She checked into a Georgia hospital with “acute severe sepsis.” A D&C would be required to remove the remaining pieces of her dead twins and stop the infection, a procedure that is 100% legal in all pro-life states, including Georgia. There was no pro-life law that prevented her from receiving the treatment. The hospital cared for Thurman for 20 hours before finally taking her to surgery, but by then it was too late. There is no evidence whatsoever that her surgery was delayed due to pro-life laws. (emphasis Not-the-Bee’s)

Thurman died because of an abortion. Kamala Harris is lying β€” and scaring women in the process.

Harris’s demagoguery at the altar of the abortion industry comes after once again refusing to answer whether she supports late-term abortions, instead relying Tuesday on her deceptive call to return to the restrictions of Roe v. Wade. (Though she has also said she supports bills that put no limits on abortion.)

28% of Democrats Believe America Would Be Better Off Had Trump Been Killed

You’d like to think the number of Americans who want to see Trump murdered is scant. However, a new Rasmussen survey paints a harrowing portrait of how sick and poisoned our nation has become. Fully 28% of Democrats responded β€œYes” to this question: β€œWhile it is always difficult to wish ill of another human being, would America be better off if Donald Trump had been killed last weekend?” Another 25% said they were not sure.

Said Scott Rasmussen, “It is hard to imagine a greater threat to democracy than expressing a desire to have your political opponent murdered.” Even greater when you consider more than half of the Democratic Party is not rejecting political violence when it comes to Trump.

Do we now have a better understanding of how dangerous it is to have the White House, other Democratic leaders, and the media declaring Trump a threat who must be stopped? Nearly three in ten Democrats are okay with death being the answer. There are roughly 50 million registered Democrats; the 28% responding “yes” to the question come to slightly more than 14 million people. If only 1% of those 14 million believe they should become the vehicle of that death, that’s 140,000 potential Ryan Rouths.

Harris Wanted to Come Into Your House to Check Out Your Guns?

On yesterday’s serving of Al’s Afternoon Tea, we talked about Kamala Harris’s fellow California progressive Gavin Newsom taking direct aim at the First Amendment. Today, it’s the Second Amendment in the bullseye.

New video has emerged of Kamala Harris back in her San Francisco D.A. days vowing to β€œwalk into” into homes to check out the owners’ guns … and I don’t mean their biceps. She wanted to β€œcheck to see if you’re being responsible.”

The quote: β€œJust because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn’t mean that we’re not going to walk into that home and check to see if you’re being responsible.”

Fortunately, Harris grew out of saying ominous things straight out of the Soviet guide to governance.

Oh wait.

β€œThe Children of the Community are the Children of the Community”

While speaking Wednesday in front of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, Harris offered this “deep thought”: “The children of the community are the children of the community.”

But of course! When your father is a Marxist professor, as Harris’s was, that is exactly the kind of thing you learn. Children don’t belong to their parents; they belong to the state.

But even if we take her meaning to be that we must all be engaged in protecting and uplifting the children of our community, why does she support so many policies that hurt β€” or in the case of abortion, exterminate β€” children?

And why double down on economic policies so devastating to families that, according to a new MassMutual survey, nearly one in four Millennials and Gen Zers are not planning on having children for financial reasons? How does that help build communities? Or America? A MassMutual State of the American Family study released last November said 42% of Americans now believe the American dream is out of reach. That’s up 9 points since 2018.

Harris talks about β€œjoy,” but creates pessimism.

Incidentally, while speaking before the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Harris slipped into yet a new accent. Yep, this time it was a hint of a Spanish accent.

We can’t wait to hear what comes out when she speaks to the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus.

Teamsters Aren’t Endorsing Kamala Harris, After Members Show Huge Support for Trump?

I’m no seismologist, but America was hit by a political earthquake yesterday: For decades, the Teamsters Union has been a rubberstamp for the Democrat candidate. But this year? The Teamsters announced they are not endorsing a candidate. The statement came after Teamsters boss Sean M. O’Brien said in a press release Tuesday the decision β€œwill be driven directly by our diverse membership” and released the results of polls showing union members favor Donald Trump nearly two to one.

In both polls, conducted July 24 through September 15, Trump smokes Kamala Harris. In the β€œElectronic Member Poll,” Trump is favored 59.6% to Harris’s 34%. In the phone poll, Trump wins 58% to 31%.

Although the Teamster’s Executive Board could not bring themselves to endorse their members’ choice, this is still a huge win for Trump.

Another bit of data out this week could have Team Harris reaching for the Tylenol.

In 2020, mail-in ballots threw Pennsylvania to Biden. (Excuse us while we pause to grumble about the late-night vote dumps and disregard for verification procedures.) But according to the data, the gap between Democrats and Republicans requesting mail-in ballots has shrunk by nearly 250,000 people. Most notably, the number of Democrats requesting mail-in ballots has plummeted.

Biden’s margin of victory in Pennsylvania in 2020 was only 80,555.
