The text messages sent between the top FBI agent at the center of both the Clinton email investigations and the Trump Russia probe and his FBI lawyer mistress are now public. If President Trump wanted any more evidence a fix was in, he’s got it. The digital pillow talk of Peter Strzok and Lisa Page is revealing.

Their texts go from showing contempt for Donald Trump to adoration to Hillary Clinton. Some exchanges that suggest live discussions on how to stop Trump from winning. They refer to acting out an “insurance policy” in case he did win. And there’s a text suggesting Peter Strzok stay in his post to undermine the President.  

Far Beyond Calling Him an Idiot

If you read the Associated Press account this morning, they focus on the fact that Strzok and Page call Trump an “idiot,” a “loathsome creature,” and the thought of him being elected as “terrifying.” 

Let’s be blunt. If all this was about a government official calling Trump an “idiot,” Secretary of State Rex Tillerson would be out of a job. 

However, the level of contempt for both Trump and his supporters is beyond the pale. It destroys any notion these people would be objective in any investigation involving Trump or Clinton. This is not political preference. This is personal hatred. This is like hiring Hamas to investigate the Israeli government. Or Mueller hiring Black Lives Matter to investigate the Baltimore police.

Justice for these investigators is not blind. And it also has it’s nose in the air. 

Abuse of Power

Worse, there is a text suggesting Strzok — at the time the FBI’s #2 counter-intelligence agent — should use his position to, indeed, [blank] Trump. Remember, this suggestion comes from an FBI lawyer.  As Fox News reports:

In one exchange from August 2016, the FBI’s Lisa Page forwarded a Donald Trump-related article to Peter Strzok, writing: “And maybe you’re meant to stay where you are because you’re meant to protect the country from that menace.”

He responded: “Thanks. It’s absolutely true that we’re both very fortunate. And of course I’ll try and approach it that way. I just know it will be tough at times. I can protect our country at many levels, not sure if that helps.’” 

In fact, as the Daily Caller reports, these two FBI officials who were part of the Mueller team “exchanged text messages last year in which they appear to have discussed ways to prevent Donald Trump from being elected president.”

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok wrote in a cryptic text message to Lisa Page, an FBI lawyer and his mistress.

“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok wrote in the text, dated Aug. 15, 2016.

Andy is likely Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

So how far would they go to mitigate the risk? What is this “path” that Strzok mentioned to McCabe? (The same McCabe, as noted in new article by Rachel Alexander, also reportedly stated in a videoconference he wanted to “F” Trump. The same McCabe as I noted in an earlier article has more conflicts than a season of Real Housewives.) 

Would that “path” happen to involve the creation and exploitation of the Trump-Russia dossier?

It’s telling that the couple seems to know that their political texts could be problematic. On April 2, 2016, Page wrote: “So look, you say we text on that phone when we talk about Hillary because it can’t be traced, you were just venting, bc you feel bad that you’re gone so much but that can’t be helped right now.”

Protecting His Country?

So did Strzok act on his lover’s advice and “protect” the country from the “menace” Donald Trump?

Let’s refresh what we know he did during the election and up until he was demoted by Robert Mueller this summer.

He spear-headed the aborted Clinton investigation. 

According to CNN, he’s switched the language in Comey’s draft memo exonerating Hillary from her committing “gross negligence” to the more benign “extreme carelessness.” As CBS News put it, “That change in wording has significant legal implications, since ‘gross negligence’ in handling classified information can carry criminal penalties.”

He was in on the decision to let her walk months before even interviewing the key witnesses, including Hillary. 

He did interview Hillary herself, but took no notes or recordings, nor did he put her under oath. He also interviewed top Hillary aides Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills.

He allowed the witness Mills to also claim status as Hillary’s lawyer, thus retaining attorney-client privilege.

He gave Mills and Hillary staffer Heather Samuelson immunity, despite getting nothing in return.

Fox News also reported the FBI limited the search of their laptops to no later than January 31, 2015. “This meant investigators could not review documents for the period after the email server became public — in turn preventing the bureau from discovering if there was any evidence of obstruction of justice, sources said.” In the immunity deal, the FBI agreed to destroy the laptops. (Whether they did or not is unclear.)

Speaking of laptops, Strzok was involved in the investigation of Anthony Weiner’s laptop after police discovered State Department emails on the device. Somehow in a matter of a couple days, he was able to examine 2,800 of Huma’s emails (that should never have been on that computer) and declaring there was nothing in them that would warrant charges. (Yes, more classified emails were found on the computer, and heaven knows what else lewd and blackmail-ready material.) 

Both Mills and Abedin lied to Strzok about when they learned of Hillary’s secret server. Unlike General Michael Flynn, they were not prosecuted.

Strzok kicked off the FBI’s investigation into the whole Russia Collusion business. You know, the one ignited by the fake dossier paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and put together with Russian agents? The one the FBI — likely Strzok himself — appears to have used to convince a judge to issue a FISA warrant on certain Trump associates, including Flynn.

Strzok was also one of two G-men who conducted the interview in which Flynn says in his plea agreement that he lied. 

The verdict seems clear. Strzok used his position, as his mistress advised, to protect Hillary Clinton and try to defeat Trump. The question of the hour is whether the Fusion GPS dossier was the “insurance policy” drawn up by Strzok and other Trump enemies in positions of power in case Trump won. 

Other Breaking News on the False Trump Dossier

Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson admitted in court documents that his company hired the wife of a senior Justice Department official to help investigate then-candidate Donald Trump last year, Fox News is reporting. It had only been known that Nellie Ohr worked for Fusion GPS last year and that she was a Russian expert. But the document confirms she was hired to help “our company with its research and analysis of Mr. Trump.” 

Ohr is married to Bruce Ohr. He was demoted last week for concealing his meetings with Fusion GPS and dossier writer Christopher Steele. (The Hillary-funded Fusion GPS hiring the wife of a top DOJ person? Sounds like Hillary associate Gov. Terry McAuliffe pushing McCabe’s wife to run for state office and giving her $700,000 for her trouble.) 

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is testifying before the House Judiciary Committee this morning. He will be grilled on Strzok and the other shocking conflicts within Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel and the Department of Justice. 

Where This Goes

The Democrats talk about “obstruction of justice” and “collusion” yet produce only phantoms. This unraveling tale is what true obstruction looks like, true collusion. 

However, there’s another phrase you may soon be hearing, as more and more details get released and the full picture emerges: “seditious conspiracy.”

Keep this definition of 18 U.S. Code § 2384 in mind as each new story emerges: 

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.
