Remington is beating the odds for survival and his father gives God the glory. Johnson posted the caption: “Remington Hayze Johnson. Proof that God is faithful. Born 4 months early and given a 21% chance of survival. Today we are 2 1/2 months old giving God all the praise He deserves.”

49er’s Rookie Quarterback Praised for His Faith
Brock Purdy could become the first rookie quarterback to lead his team to the Super Bowl. Franklin Graham posted congratulations to the team on Facebook, saying of the 49er:
In addition to being a super talented football player, I love the fact that Brock Purdy is so open about his faith in Jesus Christ. He told the media his secret, ‘Iβm a faith-based guy so thatβs how I stay groundedβ¦at the end of the day I know that Iβm not defined by the wins or losses as a person.’ I havenβt rooted for the 49ers since Joe Montana, but Iβm sure pulling for them now!
Sport Spectrum reported on Purdy sharing the moment he realized he realized he needed to turn away from putting football ahead of God.
During an appearance on the Sports Spectrum Podcast in August 2021, Brock shared an important moment in his walk with Christ that happened soon after he got to Iowa State. At the end of a difficult first week of fall camp, Purdy got on his knees and asked God to forgive him for putting football ahead of his relationship with Christ.
βIt was just a great reminder of where my identity is, where it lies,β Purdy said. βAnd itβs in Jesus. And I continue to lean on Him. Again, the next day I didnβt go out and throw for 500 yards and was this awesome quarterback, but it was just this peace that I had with Him knowing that, βHey, no matter what Iβm going to face moving forward during college football, God and Jesus are going to be my identity. And whatever I face, I wonβt be shaken from it.β Iβve got a great foundation in Him.β

Finally, in honor of this week’s Holocaust Remembrance Day, an overwhelming reminder of difference one individual can make in this world.
Nicholas Winton helped 669 Jewish children escape the Nazis. His efforts went unrecognized for 50 years. Then in 1988, while sitting as a member of a TV audience, he suddenly found himself surrounded by the kids heβd rescued, now adults.
