Should the Democrats Also Offer Euthanasia at Their Convention?

By John Zmirak Published on August 23, 2024

I’m not a real β€œpeacetime” guy. Rather than question God for placing me in such a wretched epoch, I’m thankful that He sent me to a generation wicked enough to deserve me. Instead of sad-sack reflections about the collapse of my church and my country, I consider how I can serve Him the way the Assyrians once did β€” as ministers of wrath.

So nobody should be surprised by my first reaction to the news that the Democrats set up a vasectomy truck outside their convention in Chicago this week. It was, A pretty good start. I hope that all the men present get one.

Now, of course that’s wrong. It’s a very, very naughty sentiment, which the nonreptilian parts of my brain cannot endorse.

Nor can they get behind the next visceral reaction. On learning that the same truck also offers abortions β€” making the whole Democrat convention effectively a ritual worshiping Moloch, launched by Chicago’s heir to Judas, Cardinal Cupich β€” I spontaneously thought: Why not euthanasia, too?

Now that’s just not a wholesome train of thought, we can all agree. It would be, in fact, very bad if Kamala Harris β€” launched into politics by the Rev. Jim Jones’s old mentor, Willie Brown β€” distributed poison Kool-Aid to everyone in attendance at the Democratic National Convention. I’d be appalled if that actually happened. But you know, I wouldn’t be even mildly surprised.

That’s because the entire Democrat program is a homicide/suicide pact: Let us kill babies and the handicapped, castrate and sterilize children, carry on the useless war in Ukraine that risks a nuclear Armageddon, and flood the country with low-skill illegal invaders. Let us seize people’s homes by taxing their unrealized market value. Let us shred the Constitution by packing the courts with the likes of Fani Willis and Juan Merchan, then seize all the citizens’ guns while we fill the overstretched military with transgender people and appoint β€œqueer theorists” to run America’s nuclear arsenal. We will ban efficient energy sources, ration food, and force new, untested vaccines on the entire population. We will set violent criminals free, encourage riots, and imprison people who peacefully protest our policies.

Crowning a Quota Queen

This isn’t even Communism, people. Marxism was wildly Utopian and everywhere tyrannical, but it at least possessed a consistent internal logic. It was unabashedly Western and wonkishly intellectual. Marx pretended to be scientific, applying Darwin’s materialism to Hegel’s dialectical logic, then drawing from those conclusions and prescriptions based on a study of history.

What the Left favors now does none of those things. The new progressive creed denies mammalian biology, scoffs at basic economic truths, dates the dawn of history from Barack Obama’s birth, and won’t even bother to sketch out its plans for the future.

Instead, it offers β€œJoy” in the form of a β€œBrat” who dated her way to the middle, then failed her way to the top β€” a quota queen from a privileged academic family whose parents were descended from Jamaican slaveowners and Indian Brahmin oppressors of the persecuted β€œuntouchables.” The Left calls it β€œweird” to value marriage and family, and forefronts its drag queens, furries, and other assorted tattooed and face-pierced specimens as if this weren’t a political campaign but a Halloween parade put on by a circus.

So why wouldn’t the Democrats park a euthanasia truck in front of their convention center? They’d bank the victims’ votes anyway, having fought against every possible method of election security as they dismantled every barrier to illegal immigration β€” before holding their convention behind three different layers of walled security to keep out the undesirables. I think the fact is that they simply didn’t think of the ideaβ€”and I tremble at the notion that some high-level Democrat will read this column and jump on the phone to order such a van from Planned Parenthood.

A Coalition of Slow-Motion Suicides

It’s already a festival of self-destruction, like some ancient pagan death cult. The convention is stuffed with slow-motion suicides:

  • The self-styled Evangelicals for Harris, who gaslight themselves into believing that national ruin is a Gospel imperative.
  • The prostitute Catholic Democrats, who see the church as an immigration pyramid scheme and gay employment agency.
  • The self-hating Jews, who if the Democrats sent them and their families to internment camps with names like New Treblinka would literally β€” and I am not exaggerating here for effect β€” keep sending absentee ballots from those camps for the Democrats who’d sent them there. And of course,
  • The Queers for Palestine, who want Hamas to triumph so it can (as it has promised) throw homosexuals off buildings.

Add in all the homeowners who favor squatters’ rights, the union leaders who favor massive illegal unskilled immigration, and tech executives who back β€œdiversity” measures that dumb down their own companies.

Self-hating Jews, if the Democrats sent them to internment camps, would keep sending absentee ballots from those camps for the Democrats who’d sent them there.

It really does seem as if the leaders of the Left have read one of my favorite short novels, Evelyn Waugh’s satire Love Among the Ruins, and taken it as their political manifesto.

In that novella, the socialist government of Britain has seized the historic homes of the aristocracy, and made them into comfy residences for criminals. The protagonist is an arsonist who can’t help burning such Downton Abbeys down, whose beloved is a buxom, bearded blonde β€” a hermaphrodite crafted by government sex experiments. Every part of the government is sclerotic and incompetent, except for one: Efficient, beloved, and busy is the Ministry of Euthanasia, which is constantly surrounded by lines around the block.

Yep, the Democrats read that book. They just didn’t understand it.
