The police responded Wednesday to an active shooter situation at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. According to police, there are “multiple victims.”

“Let’s hope to God and pray that we don’t have fatalities,” former FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jack Jupin told Neil Cavuto Wednesday afternoon. He added that people should always be aware of their surroundings and take notice of something that doesn’t seem right.

The University of Nevada-Las Vegas posted on X Wednesday that the university police were responding to reports of shots fire[d]. “Evacuate to a safe area, RUN-HIDE-FIGHT.”

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said there “appears to be multiple victims,” ABC News reported, although the injuries of those victims are not known at this time.

This is a breaking story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
