Salvation by Grace

BETTY ROBISON —

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8)

One of the greatest aspects of our faith in Jesus Christ that we can come to understand is the importance of salvation by grace.

Growing up, I did all the religious things that I thought I needed to do. I was faithful in church attendance and by the book of the law I lived a very religious life.

I thought that if I didn’t, then God wouldn’t love me.

You need to know that salvation is a free gift. It can’t be earned by our good works — by doing noble or religious acts for God and others. There is no way we can earn God’s love and acceptance.

Open your heart to God’s gift of grace — it’s free!

Further Study: Ephesians 1:7; Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:8-9

Take action: Declare today: Jesus, I receive Your freedom in my life. I receive Your grace and mercy. Fear has no place here. You are my security and my confidence. Your Word is life to my body, soul and spirit.
