Resolute: Super Tuesday Well Underway, While Michelle Obama Says ‘No Way’ to 2024 Run

By Al Perrotta Published on March 5, 2024

It’s Super Tuesday and 16 states are heading to the polls, while Michelle Obama says she’s not heading into the race. It’s 244 days until Election 2024, and we are Resolute.

Super Tuesday!

Super Tuesday, by far the biggest enchilada on the primary menu, is underway! Fifteen states are holding Democratic primaries, 15 states are holding Republican events.

Alabama
Alaska (for Republicans)
Arkansas
California
Colorado
Maine
Massachusetts
Minnesota
North Carolina
Oklahoma
Tennessee
Texas
Utah
Vermont
Virginia

Tuesday also marks the end of Democrats’ mail-in presidential preference process in Iowa, and a Democratic caucus in American Samoa.

865 Republican delegates are at stake. You need 1,215 out of 2,429 to secure the nomination. Currently, Donald Trump sits at 276 delegates.

Donald Trump can’t wrap up the GOP nomination today, but he should end up close enough to bring out the tape and scissors.

The question of the day: If the polls are right and the Trump train steams full speed through these 15 states, will Nikki Haley finally drop out?

Another question: Will former Dodger great and Republican Steve Garvey actually win or place against Adam Schiff in the open California Senate primary to qualify for the November ballot? Wouldn’t a head-to-head match-up between Garvey and Schiff be something to behold?

The Super Tuesday polls start closing at 7 p.m. Eastern.

Nikki Wins DC Primary, Backs Off Pledge to Support GOP Nominee

Nikki Haley actually won Sunday’s D.C. Republican primary. The shock is learning there are actually any Republicans in D.C. Still, she did win, 62.8% to Trump’s 33%, garnering a whopping 1,274 votes to Trump’s 676 votes. The Swamp romp did net Nikki 19 delegates.

Haley also made news this weekend by suggesting she is reneging on her vow to support the GOP nominee. The former South Carolina governor told Meet the Press she’ll β€œmake what decision I want to make,” adding, β€œit’s not the same RNC.”

But here is the key sentence: β€œI mean, at the time of the debate, we had to take it to where β€˜Would you support the nominee?’ and you had to, in order to get on that debate stage, you said yes.”

Is Haley admitting she agreed to the pledge just to get on the stage? Said whatever she needed to say to score political gain, whether she planned to keep to her promise or not?

That’s precisely why the title “politician” ranks down around “used car salesman.”

Trump to Biden: Fight Your Own Fight

During his address after the Supreme Court announced its unanimous decision declaring states can’t remove Trump from the ballot, Trump challenged his rival to drop all the lawfare, don’t hide behind others and fight him straight up.

That would mean putting down his ice cream.

Trump won’t get his wish. On Sunday, Attorney General Merrick Garland stood in a black church and vowed to fight tooth and nail against voter ID laws and other laws designed to secure elections.

You’ve heard it before. Ensuring that people voting are the people they say they are is somehow racist. Voter ID laws, despite Georgia’s post-Voter ID election numbers proving otherwise, somehow discriminate against blacks. It’s as condescending as it is corrupt.

Hopefully, voters in 2024 are onto the hustle and rebuke the pandering.

Even Garland’s comments aren’t as ridiculous as the latest from Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden: Burisma Hired Me to Make the Company More β€œWestern Looking”

You thought Hunter denying that his father had anything to do with his businesses was hysterical? See how this hits your funny bone: Hunter Biden, under oath, declared that the reason Burisma paid him millions was not so his father could get Ukraine’s top prosecutor off their back. No. It was to make the company more β€œWestern looking.”

Really? Then why not hire Wrangler? Or the daughters of George W. Bush. At least they’re Texan.

Actually, there is enough truth in what Hunter is saying to avoid a perjury charge. Sure, the Big Guy is now trying to lock away the once-treasured FBI confidential human source Alexander Smirnov, but Smirnov told the FBI that Burisma needed the Biden family’s help in getting rid of the prosecutor investigating them because they were planning a U.S. stock offering. The criminal case was blocking that effort.

So, in a warped way, making Burisma suitable for doing big business in the U.S. (by having VP Biden eliminate the roadblock) would make Burisma more β€œWestern looking.”

Michelle Obama Again Declares β€œRead My Lips. I Am Not Running!”

Democrats hoping former First Lady Michelle Obama will swoop in to save the party from election ruin faced disappointment today.

Obama’s office told NBC News in no uncertain terms that Michelle is sitting the 2024 race out.

β€œAs former First Lady Michelle Obama has expressed several times over the years, she will not be running for president,” Crystal Carson, Obama’s director of communications said in a statement. β€œMrs. Obama supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign.”

Who will be the next ringer they try to enlist? Stay Resolute.
