Resolute: Biden Plots a ‘Swift’ Strategy While Snoop Dogg Shows ‘Nothing But Love’ for Trump

Will Taylor Swift rescue Joe Biden? Will Snoop Dogg endorse Trump? And whoβs the sitting president? Itβs a light-hearted day on the trail, and we are Resolute.
NY Times Unveils Biden Strategy: Employ Taylor Swift
Remember when Joe Biden mistook Taylor Swift for Britney Spears? If the New York Times is to be believed, Biden will have plenty of opportunities this fall to make the same mistake again. Or mistake Taylor Swift for James Taylor.
According to the Times, his campaign is trying to enlist the superstar singerβs active support, perhaps even having Biden show up on her βErasβ tour stops in the fall. Will what theyβre calling the βTaylor Strategyβ work? Itβs one thing for Bill Clinton to grab a saxophone and jam, or Barack Obama to step to the mic and croon, but Biden shuffling on stage and slurring like heβs been tailgating since 10 a.m.? That’s a not-too-Swift move.
Yes, Swift is enormously popular. (Well, except to NFL fans sick of networks showing her dainty mug every time she reacts to boyfriend Travis Kelce. Even sheβs reportedly getting sick of it.) But does that translate into votes? One survey suggests that only 18% say their election choice would be impacted by Taylor Swiftβs endorsement. However, Swift ginning up enthusiasm among young female voters who arenβt enthused about Biden could help bring out Biden’s shrinking base.
However, thereβs another famous artist who could have a surprising impact on the election.
Snoop Dogg Expresses βNothing But Loveβ for Donald Trump
In 2017, rap legend Snoop Dogg released a video where he acted out shooting President Trump. Now heβs showering Trump with warm fuzzies. When asked by The Times of London about Trump, Snoop Dogg said he now has βnothing but love.β
βDonald Trump? He ainβt done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris. So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.β
Harris was the co-founder of Snoopβs record label, Death Row. In 2021, Trump commuted the latest eight years of a 33-year sentence heβd been given for cocaine trafficking.
But will Snoop endorse Trump? βI may have to,β he said, but he knows there are βmixed views on that,β so weβll have to wait and see.β
So who do you think would have a bigger impact on the election? Taylor Swift encouraging young women to support Biden or Snoop Dogg helping push urban votes Trumpβs way?
The exodus of Black voters away from Biden already has his campaign adjusting strategy, ABC News reports. And Newsweek noted recently that Trump is on course to win more Black votes than any Republican in history.
Incidentally, if rappers embrace Trump in 2024, it wouldnβt be a 180 as much as a 360. Back in the day, Trumpβs brash, flash-the-cash, glitz-and-gorgeous-women persona was referenced in many a rap song. The Donald was a hero.
Say What? Biden Calls Trump the βSitting Presidentβ
A rapper praising Trump may make you think itβs 1985, but Joe Biden thinks itβs 2020.
During a speech over the weekend in South Carolina, Joe Biden referred to Trump as the βsitting president.β

You can hear the conspiracy theorists now. βSee? Even Joe Bidenβs admitting Trump is still the real president!β No, once again heβs just losing track of when he is.
Speaking of tracks, another Biden moment went viral last week.

The focus has been on trying to decipher what he said and meant. But thatβs not what caught my ear. Is that legitimate audience reaction or did they sweeten it with a laugh track? Not sure why they would, but it sure sounds canned.
You donβt need a laugh track to chuckle over this one. Snopes — you know the liberal βfact checkβ? They just admitted to blowing one. They insisted Biden had not been wearing a hard hat backwards last week when, in fact, he was.

On Saturday, they issued a correction.
Folks are saying Biden was wearing his hard hat backwards in the photo op with Sen. Amy Klobuchar and some construction workers in Superior, Wisconsin. But was he? https://t.co/A7671Gn5Co pic.twitter.com/I515MNnQ89

You know whoβs really laughing at this story? My wife. Because also this weekend, I got my first bicycle helmet. And preceded to put it on backwards.
So, there you go, Blue Collar Joe. You want to put that thing on backwards, you go ahead! Make the fashion statement. I’m the last person to make fun.
