Thursday marks the 81st anniversary of FDR declaring war on Japan, a day after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

This week, we honor the 2,403 Americans killed at Pearl Harbor and all World War II veterans. Without their sacrifices, the country we know and love would not exist today. Thank you to these heroes for saving the world from tyranny and evil.
We will never forget.
On December 8, a day after the Pearl Harbor attack, President Franklin D. Roosevelt went before Congress to request a declaration of war.
