Original story:
Buckingham Palace released a statement Thursday raising concern about the health of the U.K.’s Queen Elizabeth II. It reads:
Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.
The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.
Family members have suspended previous plans in order to be at Elizabeth’s side at Balmoral Castle, her Scottish residence. The Guardian reported that her son, Prince Charles, has traveled to be with her, and her grandson, Prince William, was on his way, as were her sons Prince Edward and Prince Andrew. Her daughter, Princess Anne, was already in the area. Her grandson Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were on their way to London but had changed their plans to be with Elizabeth at Balmoral.
Keir Starmer, leader of the Labour Party, said he is “deeply worried” for Elizabeth, age 96, and is “hoping for her recovery.”
Along with the rest of the country, I am deeply worried by the news from Buckingham Palace this afternoon.
My thoughts are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time, and I join everyone across the United Kingdom in hoping for her recovery.
