Q&A: Am I Unloving for Not Affirming Same Sex Behavior?

By The Stream Published on January 18, 2020

Apologetics speaker and author Frank Turek answers a question from a woman who faces criticism from friends and family members who practice homosexuality.

Why? She loves and accepts them. But she refuses to participate in events that promote homosexuality.

How should she respond to their criticism? How should she respond to their insistence that if God is truly a loving God, they can love whomever they want?

“They don’t believe that,” Turek responds. Everyone draws the line somewhere regarding what kind of sexual relationship is immoral.

Turek also encourages the woman to ask her accusers whether they consider themselves to be tolerant. If they truly are tolerant, they will be willing to love her and tolerate her beliefs.
