‘Pro-Life is Pro-Science’: March for Life Releases Theme for 2019
The March for Life Education and Defense Fund released Thursday its theme for 2019 at a press conference on Capitol Hill. The 46th annual March for Life will be held on January 18, 2019, in Washington, D.C. It’s theme is “Unique from Day One.”
‘Pro-Life is Pro-Science’
Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, said that “our DNA is present in the moment of fertilization and no fingerprint ever β past, present, future βis like yours. And that’s what it means to be unique from day one. … Pro-life is pro-science.”
Other speakers included Dr. Grazie Pozo Christi, radiologist and policy advisor for The Catholic Association; Dr. David Prentice, VP and Research Director at Charlotte Lozier Institute; and David Daleiden, Founder and Project Lead with Center for Medical Progress.
The speakers discussed how science backs up the pro-life argument that life begins at conception and showed slides of babies at different stages within the womb. Dr. Christi also pointed out that as science progresses and people have access to ultrasounds, they’ve learned that babies are not just clumps of cells to be scraped away.
