‘Pride’ Has Taken a Fall
Public approval of homosexual agenda slips, as Pride outrages nauseate Americans.
Gallup’s annual Values and Beliefs poll shows 63% of Americans find homosexual relationships morally acceptable, down seven points from 2022.
“This is encouraging,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse. “Republican support for same-sex relationships fell from 56% to 41%. Among Democrats, it dropped from 85% to 79%.”
“Other findings show two-thirds of those polled oppose letting men compete in women’s sports, and 55% believe transgenderism is immoral,” Morse said.
“This year’s ‘Pride Month’ was over the top. The LA Dodgers had no business honoring the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence on ‘Pride Night.’ When the public objected, the Dodgers retreated. Then the California political class got involved and obviously pressured the Dodgers, who retreated again. Ordinary people are concluding that their sensibilities don’t matter.”
The more homosexuality is shoved in their faces, the more people rebel.
“Besides, no one seriously believes the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were ‘born that way’ and have no moral responsibility for their deliberately offensive behavior,” Morse said.
“The more homosexuality is shoved in their faces, the more people rebel. Parents are angry about efforts to indoctrinate their children, with everything from comprehensive sexuality education and sex-neutral restrooms to encouraging students to choose their pronouns.”
“But organizations such as the Ruth Institute have also had a major impact. We’re pleased with the results of our Resist Pride project, our e-book “Protecting your Family from the Top 5 Gay Myths,” and our Transgender Resource Center.”
“We want our followers to know that their support for our programs is helping us reach more people,” Morse said. “By disseminating scientific information and carefully reasoned analysis on the nature of sex and dangers of the sexual ideology, we are winning the argument, despite media censorship and an administration that is an adjunct of the LGBTQ.”
“People are finally saying, ‘Enough is enough.’ Now is the time to push back against homosexual and trans ideology and protect our children. This is a fight we can and must win.”
True or False: People are Born Gay, No One Can Change, and Trying to Change is Harmful.
Doug Mainwaring is a journalist, author, and marriage, family and children’s rights activist. Susan Constantine, MPsy, is an expert on body language and its role in deception detection. Wayne Blakely, founder of Know His Love ministries, spent nearly forty years as a gay man.
“There was a time I thought I was born gay, but science doesn’t actually support that,” Wayne says. “Living in the LGBT world, to others, we make it sound like it’s all great, but having lived there, I can attest to you that there’s a lot of backstabbing and a lot of pain, a lot of suicide … because they’re not finding the love they so desperately want.”
Wayne shares how helpful therapy has been to him, particularly in dealing with his abusive childhood and early abandonment by his parents.
But such honest therapy is difficult to come by thanks to Sam Brinton, the government employee recently fired for stealing luggage from airport carousels. Brinton testified worldwide about his “conversion therapy” torture. Partly because of him, 20 states and 31 regions around the world have banned such therapy.
The problem is, “The truthfulness of his therapy is that it didn’t happen,” Susan says. “It was so obvious. … What it boiled down to is, this is a person who is an attention seeker.”
“When a person has unwanted same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria, there’s generally comorbidities that go along with that,” Doug says. “So, if everything that falls under the category of conversion therapy is outlawed, people will not get the help they need for those comorbidities. It’s a huge problem. It’s a huge threat to this cohort of people.”

Family is the Foundation of Freedom
“Those who think freedom is worth preserving should be concerned about the health of the family,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D.
“A free society needs the family. Specifically, we need mothers and fathers to help their children grow up to have a conscience and the ability to control themselves. This was the theme of my first book, Love and Economics: It Takes a Family to Raise a Village.”
Love and Economics was published in 2001 to critical acclaim among social conservatives and religious believers. Fr. James Schall, long-time professor of government at Georgetown University, included it on his list of “20 Books that Awaken the Mind.”
“Unfortunately,” Morse continued, “very few people got the point: kids need secure attachments with their moms and dads. Without secure attachments, kids grow up without a conscience. People without consciences do whatever they think they can get away with. In other words, they become sociopaths.”
“A free society simply cannot manage a large number of sociopaths. The problems I predicted: rising crime, increasing mental illness, and rising governmental spending to try to control it all, have only increased since 2001.”
“Our nation and the family will rise or fall together. Without strong families, you can’t have a strong economy. A strong free economic system relies on most people keeping their promises and fulfilling their contracts. A free political system relies on people voluntarily restraining themselves from using their freedom to hurt other people.”
“Helpless babies don’t automatically grow up to be that kind of person. They need secure attachments with their parents to grow up to be adults with self-control.”
“Men and women are encouraged to enlist in the armed forces knowing that they’re protecting their families,” Morse added. “Yet today we live in a culture where marriage is on the decline, and that doesn’t bode well for maintaining our independence. Failure of family formation affects all of us.”
“Related to the decline of marriage is the fall of fertility,” Morse remarked. “America’s fertility rate — the number of children the average woman will have — is now well-below replacement level. At 1.7, it’s the lowest in our history.”
“Where will the workers of the future come from in a nation where fewer are born each year? Our national defense depends on an adequate pool of young men willing and able to serve.”
“Even though our society relies on strong families, there are forces working to undermine them. From it-takes-a-village to the president insisting ‘Our nation’s children are all our children,’ we are moving away from parental rights toward social parenting. In so doing, we are making it harder for families to raise responsible adults.”
“Freedom, prosperity, and independence are all bound up with the fate of the family,” Morse observed.
“Besides celebrating our history and American exceptionalism, we should focus on the factors that have kept us free and prosperous for 247 years, first and foremost among them, the family.”
