Four officers were shot. Two remain in critical, but stable condition. A fifth injured his knee during the incident. Their condition is unknown, though one of the officers was life flighted to the hospital. Two suspects were killed.
One of the officers has actually survived two previous shootings in the line of duty. He has not been identified. “Most people would call it a day after being shot and surviving, but this man is 54,” Houston Police Chief Art Acevado said, “He’s the case agent and he was there on the front lines.”
Chief Acevado asks the public to “please pray for the officers.”
CALL TO ACTION:
Please pray for the wounded officers, their brothers and sisters in blue, and their families. Send urgent prayers and ask for God’s hands to guide the surgeons. Also pray for the city of Houston as they deal with this unspeakable crime.
We also pray for all our nation’s peace officers, who work day and night to keep our streets safe.
