One Verse at a Time

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  (Romans 15:13)

My new-found freedom in Christ brought about an excitement for God’s Word that I had never experienced.

It was amazing … suddenly my heart was filled with hope and expectation of great things! I couldn’t get enough. I craved His Word.

As I took one verse at a time and mediated on it, asking God to show me His truth, He gave me understanding. With every verse that He unfolded, I wanted more.

God wants to do the same for you. You don’t have to start with reading an entire book of the Bible. Just pick one verse and focus on it for the day. Ask the Lord to speak to you through it.

He will.

There is so much life to be discovered in His Word!

Take action: Declare today: Jesus, I receive Your freedom in my life. I receive Your grace and mercy. Fear has no place here. You are my security and my confidence. Your Word is life to my body, soul and spirit.
