NFL Great Tom Brady Retires … Again.
Happy Groundhog’s Eve!
That’s the day when Tom Brady pops up and if he sees his shadow he retires for another two months.
Yes, NFL great Tom Brady has retired again … one year to the day after first announcing his retirement. He blasted the news on his social media from a Florida beach.
Truly grateful on this day. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️ pic.twitter.com/j2s2sezvSS

“I won’t be longwinded,” he said. “You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me.”
Brady spent 23 years in the NFL winning an astounding seven Super Bowls, six with the New England Patriots, one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also holds the NFL record for passing yards (89,214) and touchdown passes (649). However, this year was a disappointment, both on a professional and personal level. Brady’s Buccaneers posted a losing record, and his own play was erratic, punctuated by several uncharacteristic sideline outbursts. (Though somehow he did manage to get the Bucs to the playoffs.)
Plus, Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen split and divorced after 13 years of marriage.
What’s Next?
There’d been speculation Brady would come back next season with the Dolphins, after three years in Tampa Bay. There’d also been scattered talk he’d return to New England to finish out his career. But in the end football’s GOAT has decided to walk away.
Brady won’t walk far from the game. (And thankfully, he walks away healthy.) He signed a 10-year, $375 million deal last summer with Fox Sports. As a side gig he also has the new BRADY brand clothing line and his health and wellness company. Brady’s also dabbling in entertainment, launching his own production company 199 Productions. The name is reference to his being the lowly 199th pick in the 2000 NFL Draft.
Brady might need all that cash. He’s already been sued at least twice for his part in promoting the corrupt and now bankrupt crypto-currency FTX.
But that dark cloud aside, Tom Brady leaves the NFL as the greatest to ever play the position of quarterback.
“Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream,” he said, “I wouldn’t change a thing. Love you all.
