Military Photo of the Day: Heading to Haiti in the Wake of Hurricane Matthew

By Tom Sileo Published on October 12, 2016

Nearly 600 U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy sailors board the USS Iwo Jima on October 8, 2016, at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia to travel to Haiti and assist in humanitarian relief missions in the wake of Hurricane Matthew.

Our military isn’t just a fighting force. It is a force for good throughout the world. Thank you to these Marines and sailors for helping Haiti during a moment of crisis.
