The Battle of the Bulge Remembered, 75 Years Later

By Tom Sileo Published on December 16, 2019

Three members of an American patrol cross a snow-covered field in Lellig, Luxembourg, on a scouting mission during the World War II Battle of the Bulge.

The Battle of the Bulge began 75 years ago today. “The Americans suffered some 75,000 casualties,” according to the U.S. Army Center of Military History. That number is both staggering and unimaginable today, even after the past 18 years of constant war.

Thank you to all American veterans and fallen heroes who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and World War II. Your unparalleled sacrifices will never be forgotten.
