Retired U.S. Army Colonel Ben Acohido, chaplain for VFW Post 1572, passes the flag to William Sisco during a March 11, 2015, ash-scattering ceremony for a Pearl Harbor survivor, Chief Fire Controlman Leo Shumard. Shumard was stationed aboard the battleship USS Maryland during the attack on Dec. 7, 1941.
