NBA’s James Harden Surprises Fan Celebrating 100th Birthday

NBA’s Houston Rockets player James Harden surprised one of his fans after the Rockets bested the Milwaukee Bucks Wednesday night.

After scoring 38 points in the 111-92 victory, Harden approached Lucy Pierce and handed her the game ball with his autograph, Fox News reported. Pierce had courtside seats to celebrate her birthday, which is on Saturday. She’ll be 100.

Both the Houston Rockets and the NBA tweeted a video of the special moment. As Harden hands Pierce the ball, the two seem like old friends, chatting and laughing before posing for photos.

Harden told ESPN reporter Doris Burke that giving Pierce the game ball for her 100th birthday was a “blessing.”

“You know, she’s excited, she’s sitting on the court. She kept smiling over there. I had to go give her the game ball and tell her how blessed she is and I am for meeting her,” he said.
