Iran launched 300 missiles and drones at Israel Saturday evening, the first time the terrorist regime has ever directly attacked the Jewish state. Israel, with the help of the United States and Jordan, rebuffed the attack. According to the Israel Defense Force, 99% of the drones and missiles were destroyed.

Israel says one military base suffered slight damage. Unfortunately, a seven-year-old girl from a Bedouin town near Arada has died after being hit by shrapnel from a downed weapon. 

The U.S military says it shot down “at least dozens” of drones before they could reach Israeli territory.

Although damage was minimal, Iran’s foreign minister declared the attack a “historic, powerful, operation against the Zionist regime.”

Iran was responding to Israel’s April 1 air strike in Syria, which killed two Iranian generals and five officers. Shortly after launching the attack, Iran said its action was “concluded,” signaling it did not want matters to escalate further. On Sunday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi warned any response would be met with a “heavier and regretful” response by the Islamic regime.

 However, the question is how Israel will respond to this direct attack on its soil by an enemy that has sworn to wipe it off the map.

Report: Biden Again Pressuring Israel Not to Respond

In a statement released Saturday night, Joe Biden said, “Israel demonstrated a remarkable capacity to defend against and defeat even unprecedented attacks — sending a clear message to its foes that they cannot effectively threaten the security of Israel.” He also reiterated his “ironclad commitment to the security of Israel.”

However, Axios reports that Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the U.S. will not support any Israeli counterattack. In fact, according to the New York Times, Netanyahu called off a retaliatory strike in the wake of Biden’s call.

In recent weeks, Biden has been putting enormous pressure on Israel to agree to a cease-fire with Hamas, Iran’s proxy in Gaza, rather than conclude its mission to wipe out the terror group.

On Friday, Biden issued a one-word warning to Iran when asked about rumors of a pending attack: “Don’t.” Within 24 hours, Iran did.

Rabbi Aryeh Lightstone, former advisor to U.S. Israeli Ambassador David Friedman, told Fox & Friends Weekend Sunday morning that Iran had “thumbed their nose” at the Biden administration.

“That action happening was testing whether Biden’s ‘don’t’ was to Iran or whether it was to Israel, and they’ve put a bet that when Biden says ‘don’t,’ he’s talking to Israel,” he said. “Just like all of the ‘don’ts’ in the last six weeks that have been about Israel and not about Hamas.”

G7 leaders will be holding a videoconference Sunday to “coordinate a united diplomatic response to Iran’s brazen attack.”
