Iran Attacks Israel While More US Troops Head to Middle East

The Islamic Republic was suspected of plotting new strikes against the Jewish State for several months.

Iran launched ballistic and cruise missiles at multiple locations inside Israel on Tuesday, according to Fox News and multiple other international media outlets.

Explosions and sirens were heard in the Tel Aviv Thursday around 8 p.m. local time (which is noon Eastern Standard Time).

“In the last few minutes, the Home Front Command has distributed life-saving instructions in various areas across the country,” Israel Defense Forces said in a statement. “The public is asked to adhere to the Home Front Command’s guidelines. Upon hearing a siren, you must enter a protected space and remain there until further notice.”

At 1:25 p.m. Eastern time, Fox News reported that President Joe Biden has ordered the U.S. military to aid Israel by shooting down any Iranian missiles bound for the Jewish state.

Iran said the missile attacks are retaliation for Israel killing members of Hezbollah and Hamas, which are terrorist groups sponsored by the radical Islamic regime in Tehran. Of course, Hamas started the current nearly exactly a year ago with the massacre of 1,200 Israeli citizens attending a music festival on October 7, 2023.

Reuters is also reporting that a mass shooting took place in Tel Aviv on Tuesday. The horrific incident appears to be yet another cowardly terrorist attack against innocent Israeli civilians.

“TV footage showed gunmen getting off at a light rail station and opening fire,” Reuters reported. “Israel media reported at least four people were seriously injured.”

Earlier this week, the Pentagon announced that more U.S. troops are deploying to the Middle East to bolster security and – if needed – defend Israel. Stars and Stripes reported that “the additional forces include squadrons of F-15E Strike Eagle, F-16, A-10, and F-22 fighter jets and the personnel needed to support them.”

The USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group and USS Wasp Amphibious Ready Group have also been ordered to stay in the region, according to Stars and Stripes.

In all, the number of additional troops is reportedly “a few thousand.” They will join thousands of other troops already serving in the Middle East, including Syria, where U.S. troops were targeted in a rocket attack last Thursday. Thankfully, there were no injuries.

Please pray for all American forces serving in the Middle East and the people of Israel. The free world must stand united to defeat terrorism.
