The Center for Medical Progress released a new video today in which a former StemExpress technician described the “grocery list” of baby body parts she was given to procure for any given day. It involved Planned Parenthood sharing private patient information to meet the contractor’s quotas for harvesting the parts. 

David Daleiden interviewed Holly O’Donnell recently to discuss the coordination between StemExpress and Planned Parenthood to obtain the desired baby body parts from abortions performed. 

“At the beginning of the day we would let them know what we were looking for,” O’Donnell said, illustrating: “‘Oh, we need this gestation for blood sample, we need this for thymus.’ … There was a lot of coordination.” 

O’Donnell described a “task page” online listing particular body parts needed by researchers for that day or that week. “Roughly saying, it was like a grocery list of what to get for that day.”

Once O’Donnell knew what baby body parts to procure, she would let the clinic’s head nurse know. The nurse would give O’Donnell a list informing her which patients were coming in and how far along they were, so she could keep an eye on the patients. “If you didn’t communicate, you were going to miss your specimens, it was not going to work.”

Worse, O’Donnell was asked to violate HIPAA laws by viewing and writing on patient charts. “I told [my supervisor] ‘No, I won’t do that.’ She said, ‘Well, it’s part of your job.’ I said, ‘No, it’s not part of my job. That’s out of my scope of practice, I could lose my license because of it.'”
