Christians Engaged took 50 people, who had a desire to turn their burdens for America into action, to Washington, D.C., in July. (The Stream’s Al Perrotta has written a series about the trip. Check it out here.) Each of the 3 days in D.C. had a theme — focusing on the topics of prayer, voting and engagement, respectively. Not only did the trip include a tour of D.C., but the team heard from experts coming from all over Washington, including 9 Members of Congress and 2 Senators. They also had the opportunity to pray and minister to each of them.

In this special episode of the Conversations With Christians Engaged podcast, founder Bunni Pounds shares for about ten minutes on how this powerful trip ultimately turned into a mission trip to elected officials. She then introduces Congressman Michael Cloud, who was the Congressional Host for the trip, and his incredible message that he spoke during last year’s Wake UP! Conference.
