Stream senior contributor Dr. Michael Brown has a provocative new book hitting shelves October 23. It’s called Donald Trump is Not My Savior: An Evangelical Leader Speaks His Mind About the Man He Supports as President.

Dr. Brown sat down in The Stream studios with publisher James Robison for a series of brief discussions about the book, the president, the spiritual warfare in Washington and the critical mid-term elections. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the next two weeks we will be sharing these timely, intriguing conversations.

In Part Three, James and Dr. Brown talk about struggling to come to grips with what the people were seeing in Donald Trump during the early part of the 2016 campaign. Says Dr. Brown, “It was like a whole audience is laughing at a comedian and you’re not laughing. And you’re thinking ‘He’s not funny at all.’ At a certain point you start to think, ‘I guess I’m not getting the joke.'”
