The number of Americans professing to believe in God is rapidly shrinking and “we only have ourselves to blame,” says Fox News host Pete Hegseth.

While guest hosting Jesse Waters Primetime Friday night, Hegseth delivered a powerful monologue chastising recent generations for not passing on to their children the importance of faith.

“Previous generations did a great job passing along peace, prosperity, leisure, entertainment and progress in medicine, science and technology. But along the way, previous generations passed on all the wants of the world and not enough of the needs. They took for granted the main ingredient that underwrites all of those worldly advancements. And that is faith.”
