Obama’s AG has the FBI Exploring If it’s a Crime to Disagree With Big Gov on Climate Alarmism
Following another Orwellian cue from the Obama White House, maybe we should call these global warming skeptics "justice-involved individuals."
President Obama’s latest outrage is to suggest that armed robbers, drug dealers and rapists are not criminals in the ordinary sense. Team Obama now demands everyone call them “justice-involved individuals” (JII). Given that Attorney General Loretta Lynch has tasked the FBI to explore whether it may be a crime to disagree with the government line about climate change, could those at the point of her spear be called “global warming justice-involved individuals?”
Various state attorneys general recently said they too are exploring legal sanctions against those who question the idea of runaway global warming caused by human CO2 emissions, calling them “climate change deniers” (which I suppose is nicer than the usual pejoratives, such as “climate criminals,” despite the allusion to Holocaust deniers). I prefer the term “global warming realist,” because it is much more precise and less amenable to Orwellian Newspeak. Fact is, there has been no warming trend from 1997 to the present. (The short-term warming of the first few months of 2016 is due to an unusually, but not unprecedentedly, strong El Niño in the south Pacific and does not constitute a trend.)
What precisely the “deniers” deny is never quite specified, since no one denies climate. That is the point in Progressive Newspeak. It is sufficient to wrap words related to rationality and objectivity in the single word denier. Greater precision is dangerous.
Progressive Newspeak
Newspeak is part of a Progressive cultural package seen in other areas too. Progressives will force women to share bathroom space with confused men. But will they follow the dictates of this logic and allow he-men who self-identify as petite girls to enter women’s lockers or win prizes playing women’s sports? Why not? Last week a boy who self-identifies as a young girl advanced to the Alaska state finals in the 100-meter and 200-meter races, medaling in the latter. Ze is probably not amused that some cisgendered girls ze competed against appear huffed by hir identification.
I recently wrote that this is, like, so yesterday. Today’s Progressive cutting edge is trans-speciesism. But will Progressives pay praise if I urinate in the public pool even though they know I self-identify as a dolphin? Why should women, homosexuals and transsexuals get all the gold and glory while the trans-species lie crushed and ignored beneath their jackboot? Dolphins of the world unite and join me at the Y!
Hillary Clinton, who just won the Democratic Party nomination for U.S. President, has called herself a “Progressive who gets things done for people.” She constantly feels the need to remind us that she really is a woman. She may be a woman today, but how do we know what she will be tomorrow? In this brave new Progressive world, we don’t know. Clinton may be a man tomorrow if she — I mean, he — no, I mean ze — oh, whatever — like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, really, really believes it. In other words she may be, in Progressive Newspeak, gender fluid.
Clinton minimizes trans-species suffering by her laser focus on homosexuality and transgenderism. If only she could appreciate species fluidity she could join me in the pool for the announcement she is the first transsexual dolphin of color to be nominated for President. Now that would be something to be proud of.
Frankly, I think that the dishonesty of the Progressives is getting beyond even Clinton as she appears unaware of trans-species oppression and the pressing need for the government to get into this area of trans-justice.
Foul-Mouthed Rappers In, Skeptical Scientists Out
In April President Obama fell into momentary silence, perhaps from embarrassment, when Rick Ross, a guest of honor at the White House, had a wardrobe malfunction. Ross’s convict ankle bracelet — which he received for kidnapping and assault charges — started making noise while the President spoke.
The President was explaining why artistes like Ross are healthy role models to keep youths of color from becoming JIIs. Ross chose his stage name in imitation — the sincerest form of flattery — of former drug kingpin Rick Ross. Note that I did not call Ross a drug criminal. He is a chemically challenged JII.
There was no word whether Ross the rapper beeped alone or the White House group sang lyrics from his bestsellers such as, “Assassinate Trump like I’m Zimmerman,” and others whose lyrics I would be ashamed to repeat in detail because of the clashing antinomy of Psalms from the Bible (Ross says he follows Christ) and f-words, words calling women h# and w# and b# and other cursing, and a general survey of foulness from the pit of hell.
How the mighty have fallen! American culture has sunk so profoundly into self-parody that one can be forgiven for the historian’s equivalent of Alzheimer’s.
Progressivism is deeply dishonest, for it forces people to assent to what they know is not true. Up is down, right is wrong, left is right, rapists, pimps and murderers are JIIs. It boggles the mind.
While the President is charmed to host foul-mouthed, race baiting pimps and whores at the White House as role models for our youth — and everyone agrees misguided American youth need good role models — first-rate scientists like Richard Lindzen and John Christy would never make the guest list. They are heretics. To disagree as they do, with politicians about the causes and extent and possible benefits and harms of CO2–driven global warming is increasingly perceived as criminal. Couldn’t we just call them global warming JIIs?
