15 months ago, young investigative journalist David Daleiden took America and the pro-life movement by storm with his horrifying videos capturing Planned Parenthood officials appearing to discuss conducting illegal abortions to illegally profit off of the sales of fetal body parts, organs and tissue.

Since then, the Center for Medical Progress founder has been sued in California and Washington State and faced charges in Texas. He was found innocent of wrongdoing in Texas, and on Tuesday he will learn what happens in Washington. In California, the lawsuit was followed by a law that would throw journalists like Daleiden in jail.

In an exclusive interview with The Stream, Daleiden said that his videos are helping turn the tide against Planned Parenthood, and he “would do it again in a heartbeat.”

The Stream: What do you see as the effects of your videos? You’ve obviously faced persecution, and Planned Parenthood still has its funding. Anything on the other side of that equation?

David Daleiden: Over a year after the release of the videos, the wheels of justice are beginning to turn against Planned Parenthood and their business partners in the criminal sale of aborted baby parts. This week, a California District Attorney filed charges against two of Planned Parenthood’s long-time business associates, DV Biologics and DaVinci Biosciences, for selling fetal tissue “products” for profit. This relationship, in which DaVinci made millions of dollars off of baby body parts and gave kickback contributions to Planned Parenthood, was first exposed by CMP’s videos earlier this year.

TS: Was it worth it? Why or why not?

DD: It was absolutely worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat. We have received many testimonies of lives being saved from abortion by the videos, and the bad guys in Planned Parenthood’s baby parts business are now beginning to face justice under the law. And of course, the videos have completely changed the way we talk about abortion and unborn children in our country.

TS: What are the three biggest lies Planned Parenthood tells women?

DD: The biggest lies Planned Parenthood tells everyone are that they are innocent, they didn’t profit off of the sale of baby parts, and abortion is only a small part of what they do.

TS: Any comment on Clinton’s adamant support for repealing the Hyde Amendment?

DD: American taxpayers already pay for abortions through funding Planned Parenthood’s abortion infrastructure and also through state Medicaid programs in states like California and Illinois. Corrupt establishment politicians like Hillary Clinton want to repeal the Hyde Amendment to force taxpayers everywhere to be billed directly for abortions and substantially increase taxpayer subsidies of the abortion industry.

TS: What’s the next step for pro-life advocates to stop Planned Parenthood?

DD: The excellent work of the House Energy & Commerce Committee’s Select Investigative Panel, and of law enforcement like the Orange County, CA District Attorney’s Office earlier this week, make it clear that Planned Parenthood is guilty of barbaric crimes that shock the conscience of most Americans. Planned Parenthood needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and stripped of all taxpayer funding immediately.
